Entrance | Northern Velebit National Park

Such a stunning place!

The location is named Babić Siča. It is the entrance to Northern Velebit National Park. Good asphalt roads from Krasno Polje and village Oltari end here. There is a parking lot there and a cottage where tickets for the Park and souvenirs can be bought. The rangers are friendly and helpful. Different hiking trails start from here, the main one being a ~4km long educational trail to the Mountain hut on Zavižan.

Jest to wejście od strony północnej, można tu kupić bilet do parku na trzy dni bez wjazdu autem na górny parking lub z wjazdem na jeden dzień, zaczyna się tu szlak do schroniska na górnym parkingu

This is Babić Siča entrance to Northern Velebit. Working hours are Monday-Sunday from 8:00 - 18:00. Entrance fee is 7 € for adults, 5 € for children, 16 € for families. CASH ONLY! Park employees are friendly and willing to help and advise what sites to visit. There is sufficient parking for several cars and a few tables where you can relax. If you prefer to walk you can take several paths, one being a nice educational path to Zavižan cottage (approximately 4 hour hike). If you will continue with your car be advised that paved road ends here and dusty, gravel road starts which is not in best condition in some parts.
