Mountain Lodge Glavica

Great place to take a brake after hiking. There is a restaurant that offers good food and drinks. Prices are affordable. Beautiful Zagreb on your palm.

Food is great. It's only 5 minutes wait. View is awesome.

Nice little hike from Zelena Magistrala street. Good also for small children. It is harder to go back from the lodge, then going to it (around 30 min with 3yo child). Veternica cave is near and you should visit (40 min tour, 100 kn is a family pass). It is closed during winter because the bats are hibernating in it and they need their beauty sleep. The lodge has nice food at low price, and a great view of Zagreb

walk from zelena magistrala is easy half an hour walk through the park. Worth every kinute that you spend here. The problem is that it's really crowded because of its easy access. "Planinarski dom" or mountain lodge called "Glavica" is typicall mountain lodge that you'll find in sljeme. Nice white vine. Beans stew average.

I like pd Glavica, it is super if you are coming with kids.

If you know what to expect from mountain Lodge in general, you won't be disapointed. Combine it with a breathtaking view and beautiful nature, it is definitely worth visiting. Can't wait to go there again.

Great spot to start exploring Medvednica and forest with your small kids - approch by car to Ponikve spot (via Zelena magistrala) and 25min easy walk through forest road to lodge Glavica.

Really nice place with best view of Zagreb and the north side. Easily accesible by foot and it has tasty food with reasonable prices.

Would like to comment to a negative review about a dog sleeping on the outside terrace table Thursday. It is not the responsibility of the owner, we
(AHA Pokusi) brought the dog on our childrens' science&adventure camp.

My favorite mountain lodge on Sljeme. Great view on the city panorama, delicious food and the nearby routes are less intense for the casual hikers and less populated in comparison to the more eastern ones.

Nice place to relax after a walk. You can get there by various different ways, but most popular are the one from Gornji Stenjevec (you first get to cave Veternica than to Glavica) and the one from Zelena Magistrala (you can get to the Ponikve by car than take a 20 -25 minute walk to Glavica) and enjoy the beautiful view on city of Zagreb.

Excellent place for rest after long walk on western slopes of Medvednica mountain. Cold drinks - Pan radler is my favorite - and warm meals are welcoming. Bean soup with or without sausage, Vienner schnitzel with French fries or any other meal will give you strength to carry on. Prices are OK. And in summer months, when weather is nice, eat outside and enjoy splendid view of Zagreb under you. Close by is Veternica cave which should be visited and if you are for a walk, go thru the woods to Kameni svati with some of the greatest views in Zagreb area. If weather is fine, you can see Slovenian and Austrian Alps. If you have a time, Glavica is place to see, easily accessible by car or public transportation.

My favourite mountain lodge on Medvednica mountain, but lately it's been full crowded. Others seem to have my opinion about this place. The lodge crew is great, very helpful.

Great place to rest, eat & drink. Low prices, decent choice of meals (standard for Medvednica), and friendly staff. Kids have a newly equipped playground right beneath the terrace.
