Lavica

The hotel is pretty old, with interior and rooms that show its age. However it's not like anything is falling apart. What great is the location, right next to the main square, private parking and breakfast included. All for a good price. Pets not included however. Staff could maybe be a little more friendly. Overall it's good value.

This review is for the RESTAURANT at the hotel. We had the "sample dish for 2" which had meat cooked three different ways plus mixed vegetables and pan-fried mushrooms. It's a very big dish and everything was delicious. They have a good selection of dinner wines and we also had Bermet - a sweet/bitter "dessert wine" that is a local specialty. Service at the restaurant was very good.

It was great experience for me and my wife a visiting Hotel Lavica. The food was great so as service, fast and kind. Plate "Samobor" for 2 persons was plate for 3 persons after all and it's been so tasty, for every recommendation. The room are also great and clean.

We stayed for 4 nights here with breakfast included. Very cosy old style rooms which were cleaned every day and new towels added. Bathroom has a shower booth with soap dispenser mounted which I like a lot. I forgot to bring my hair dryer and asked for it on reception desk - and they borrowed one to me free of charge. People on reception desk were informative and helpful and very polite.

Third time is the charm! Great restaurant at Lavaca Hotel! We tried two other restaurants that were closed at the height of tourist season to have their own holidays. Lavica had great outdoor seating which borders on a tree lined street. It was a beautiful evening to sit outdoors. The service was excellent and we were attended to quickly and professionally. We ordered the veal and roasted potatoes off their daily special board and it was fabulous and melt in your mouth tender! A mixed salad of tomatoes, green and red cabbage completed this meal for me. I overheard the waiter speaking good English at the next table so that staff here is bilingual. I would definitely come back here, plus Samobor is so quaint and charming and once you park can stroll around to the center to have a slice of kremšnita!

Beautiful hotel in convenient location is samobor. The staff are very friendly and helpful even if you don't speak Croatian. The food is very good and authentic. One entree will feed two adults. They give you massive portions. It is a convenient walking distance from the main square with the cafes and the old church. Follow the path behind it to get to the ruins of an old castle. It is a bit of a hike, but well worth it.

We had a little family trip to Samobor and had lunch at Lavica. Delicious food and excellent service! Will visit again for sure and 100% recomend visiting if hungry :)

We booked Lavica for our wedding party. The place was perfect for our 100 guests. Service was exceptionell and we everyone was served polite until the morning hours. Food and drinks of the hotel were amazing and reasonably priced.
The Lavica is central in Samobor, historic church, nature parks, tracking as well as shopping opportunities are near.

Really good food here. We had lignje and cevapi. Great cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff who smile and are attentive. Clean attractive restaurant. Prices are more than fair. I’d recommend this restaurant to all.

A little bit older place,but very nice nature, you can take long walk down the river road,in hotel spend the night, have a good meal... And for children and pets it's a great place for play 👌

The location is great - right next to the city centre. The staff was friendly. The rooms are a bit small, but the furnishing, decor and atmosphere were great.

Great hotel, central in Samobor for everything a tourist needs, nature and shooping alike.
