Family Danicic - Olive Oil & Wine

On our return to Dubrovnik after spending the day biking around Šipan island, we were helped with directions and welcomed by a lovely lady for a quick stop to her family home for coffee & cake. As a tour guide, I've experienced 20+ restaurants (like Vitaceae, Tauris, Konavoski dvori...) with 70+ dishes in southern Croatia this summer. And here I ate dinner that left me and my whole group emotional for days.

I have never experienced anything similar in any restaurant in my life.

It was a 4 course dinner (two starters, main and dessert). Pictures are from the second starter and main course.

Here is what we ate:
1. Starter: dry bead, 2 types of olives, cherries and unusual flavored olive oil and the first glass of house wine – Plavac Mali (Blue Small one)
2. Starter: bread/toast with homemade bread spread, eggplant with mozzarella and prosciutto. The second glass of house wine – Posip if I remember correctly.
3. Main: beef and stuffed pasta with truffle sauce
4. Dessert: pie-like with carob flavored crust and white chocolate on top. (Might have been dark chocolate inside, I don't remember, I was already dazzling in heaven.
We got bowls of grapes that wine is made of, which made wine way more interesting. The second starter and main course was with multi-flavour homemade bread.

It's fair to call and order this dish by the name of:

I can only recommend that you drop in here if you're passing through.
We were very well received, the wine and homemade cake were excellent.
The place was lovely and the lady who served us was very kind.
I would definitely come back again if I'm ever here.

I can't say enough good things about this place, owner absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious, wine was amazing, (buy the merlot!)

Fabulous place in a stunning location less then 5 minutes walk from port. Extremely knowledgeable, highly welcoming and friendly host to the best wines and cakes 😋 I have ever tasted. All locally produced/made by themselves. Also have a selection of home made flavored (rose and others) brandys

We had the opportunity tu visit this place quickly and was one of our better experiences in Croatia. The terrace is amazing and quiet. Cakes yummy and their wines incredible. You can taste all the love and good energies behind this bottle. We will definitely come again. Thank you for your kindness.

Great place to visit, only a few mins walk from the town. We had a glass of wine + snack. Glass of wine was very generous and very tasty. The snack we chose was bruschetta which was also very tasty. The lady who served us was very nice also. Would recommend!

Good wine! I suggest the Merlot. It is also in a beautiful location with kind service.

Very friendly people running a family business and making great wine. The Plavac was one of the best I have tried in my life. Definitely worth a visit!

Izvrsna hrana i vino, svaki put drugačije po preporuci domaćina. Ugodna atmosfera u prirodi. Svakako pitati gazdaricu ima li kolača od rogača!

Super bien accueilli avec mon groupe de touriste, superbe présentation très sympathique et très bon je recommande grandement ! Coup de coeur pour l'huile pour ma part ( dommage qu'ont ne puissent les transporter en avion )
