Konoba Gira

Two weeks ago, we spent a week in Madre on the island of Pag and visited Konoba Gira . There is a small gravel road leading down to the ocean where the restaurant is located. A friend suggested ordering the seafood plate for two, which we did. We requested to have no salt added (dietary requirements), which put some challenge to the cook. He mastered our meal absolutely perfect. The fish was nicely chared, not overcooked, and tasted very fresh. Big thank you! The service was very friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed a wonderful evening.

Our favourite place on Pag. The food is home made, fresh, tasty, served beautifully and in the most achingly stunning surroundings imaginable, by this family team who have such passion for what they do. Very highly recommended!

This place is wonderful! The food, the service, the view are amazing! The restaurant is really cozy, plenty of shade to escape the heat. You can also smell food being grilled. We asked to share the food so we could taste more, which they are happy to do. We had the squid salad as starter, so good. So juicy, tender and perfectly balanced. Then we had tuna burger and grilled vegetables, best burger I ever had. Very simple but so fresh. Only thing I missed was to thing to dip my fries in. But it actually not necessary!
We were lucky to get a table without reservation and 2 dishes were unavailable when we can. So I recommend reserving a table and ask them what they have. It's possible to swim there as well, the water is calm and nice.

It’s better to reserve the food because it’s fresh, so call them in advance.
Fish is fresh, tuna burger is amazing like also dessert.
If you come to Novalja and want to taste excellent foods and being far away from the crow…this is the Place!

Nice service

Kosilo ali večerja ki je ne pozabiš. Z družino smo sli na vecerjo v konobo Gira. Vzeli smo morsko ploščo, pečen krompirček in solato. Hrana je vrhunska, izvrstno pripravljena, sveža, okusna. Postrežba je prijazna, prijetna in simpatična. Največji čar je pa okolica. Uživati ob hrani tik ob morju, med vonjem borovcev in morja ob zvokih valov in zahajajočim soncem v ozadju. Neprecenljiva izkušnja, toplo priporocamo obisk in definitivno se še vrnemo.
