Located off the main road Ilica on the infamous Dezman street in Zagreb this cafe is nicely tucked away in a corner surrounded by nearby parks and forest paths.
The coffee here is great and a reasonable size , with a little biscuit as a treat . Lovely selection of cakes and savoury options and has a vast range of beverages . Beautifully decorated and perfectly tucked away from all the chaos of the capital . 2 outdoor terraces and seating inside this cafe is a must when in Zagreb

Great. A hidden gem off the main paths of traffic, located just next to a nice garden — super quiet, chilled and relaxing. Serves great drinks, cakes and allows you to sip away on your tea, coffee or cocktail while watching by-passers stroll by. Service was great and friendly, their outdoor patio a pure joy on a lovely summer evening.

Amazing place and terrace, they only serve outside due to COVID19 regulations. Coffee is downright excellent and comes with a homemade cookie served on the side. Fast and super nice service and excellent barrista and server ( Tibor & Maria ). Ambient music is amazing, and sets a relaxing tone. Nearby forrest and green belt adds to a positive vibe. Will gladly visit again and would highly recommend to friends.

When I sat down I was unsure of what to order, the lovely waiter came over and asked for what I usually liked. He then took what I told him and came back with a new drink based off of what I had said- it was fantastic! The waiter was attentive and helpful, you could tell he truly cared about his customers.

If you are a traveller looking for some savoury food along with your coffee I would recommend trying the bučinca- it’s lovely.

Absolutely amazing place to come and have a coffee. Very cozy and quiet; perfect for reading a book or studying.
The coffee is one of the be you can find around with a nice creamy texture and rich coffee taste. You also get a nice softish cookie along with the coffee.
The waiter is properly dressed and is very proper.

Best hot chocolate ever! Very accommodating staff - we accidentally ordered meat sandwiches and they happily corrected the order to vegetarian.

There is no better cafe in all of Zagreb. Don't get me wrong, Zagreb has spectacular venues but Velvet is one of a kind. It is a venue for those who love life. I start my day every day there because it's the time I devote for my self. I also come to Velvet with family and friends. It's an integral part of my life because it reminds to value moments, that's what Velvet is - a place to value moments.

Now let's not forget it has the best: coffee, desserts, toast with ham and cheese, terrace/patio and interiors! Great customer service, servers who know to treat you well (they learn quickly what you like and how you like it) and know boundaries of how much small talk is ok. Everything about this venue is for me a sense of art. The art of living!

Always & forever - Velvet!

As soon as I entered the cafe i liked it. The setup, the seats, chairs, walls - everything looks so good. The coffee is great and the sweets are nice too. The cafe also got a great smell inside, when you enter, you instantly smell a sweet cinnamon smell.

The best place to drink coffee and enjoy the city but you're surrounded with nature and serenity instead of pedastrians and cars and trams.
