Mali Raj - Mljet | Apartments and Restaurant

Stopped here for lunch after a boat trip to the Island. It was busy with groups so pleased to be served quickly. Mixed fish was excellent and good value served with spinach and potatoes. Fantastic sunny south facing view over the lake. Better choice than the restaurant on St Mary's.

We had a delicious lunch at the restaurant and the waiter was very helpful. We ordered a fish platter to share, salad and fries which was plenty for the four of us and it was a feast. The cost was very reasonable, the setting absolutely beautiful. You don't have to order the more expensive dishes. Highly recommend.

In August 2023, we enjoyed a delightful week-long stay at Mali Raj. We were captivated by its incredible location, breathtaking views, and an ambiance of exclusivity. While there is always room for enhancement, such as refining the tiny bathroom and rethinking the choice of the sofa bed instead of a real bed, these minor details didn't diminish the overall positive experience.

It's worth noting that parking is situated 500 meters away and you have to drive though a tiny road to drop your luggage off. At the location, the presence of stairs to access the rooms added a charming touch to our experience, and the extra exercise was a welcomed bonus.

When it comes to food, the owners and management truly stood out for their graciousness and their willingness to cater to our vegetarian preferences, even in a predominantly fish-based restaurant.

Taking all factors into consideration, our time at Mali Raj was just exceptional.

Our stay at Mali Raj was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and invested in making us feel as comfortable as possible. The apartments and restaurant fit into the surrounding breathtaking nature perfectly and in front of our room we had a terrace with a beautiful view. This place is great for a quiet and peaceful vacation, but also for an active one - you can go swimming in the lakes, cycling or hiking on one of numerous marked trails. The fish we had at the restaurant was fresh and delicious.

It’s not common to find a place with a name that accurately represents itself. This truly is a Small Paradise.

After a stressful start of our holiday in Albania we decided to drive north and visit the island of Mljet. We did some searching on Google Maps, found this place and a one minute phone call was enough to reserve the apartment for the following three days.

The view from our balcony was magnificent. The apartment was simple, yet had everything we could ask for. The staff was not only kind, but went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and relaxed. The owner was super friendly, shared a drink with us and treated us not only as customers, but as friends. Unlike most other establishments, they seemed to be genuinely invested in us feeling good while staying there. The food and the wine was excellent and worth every cent, possibly the best seabass we’ve ever had in our lives.

We’re looking forward to returning to this place on one of our future holidays.

Mali Raj was perfect for beer and antipasti. Delicious coldest of local beer with beautiful sardines, prosciutto, olives
, tomatoes and fresh bread.

We had the most fabulous meal on first night, we came back here every night. The food was great, service perfect! We will miss it!

Nice and cosy family restaurant with fresh domestic food. Prices are a bit lower than in Pomena. We had spaghetti with gamberi, definitely would recommend.

Very friendly staff, fast service and good fresh food. We ate the grilled squid, octopus salad and beefsteak which was all very tasty. The apple strudle dessert is a must!

Very cute place with an owner who knew exactly what we needed. Beer... cold...large 🤣

Very good service, tasty fish and nice atmosphere. It’s just on the lake and about 7-10 mins hike to get to from Govedari and is worth it.

BIG recommendation for this place. Stuff is really kind and friendly, fish is fresh and super delicious, prices are good and acceptable even for Croatian citizens 😊
