Zrinka House

Zrinka house is an absolute must stay if you are going to be exploring the Plitvice lakes! It’s only a 10 minute drive and is definitely worth the value paid. Barbara and her mom Zrinka are absolute GEMS, literally just the sweetest. They will give you endless recommendations, and you will NOT go hungry during your stay. Breakfast and the cake are ✨chefs kiss✨ and they will set you up with a paper bag lunch!

Located in a pretty quiet area close to Plitvice NP. The owner keeps the place extremely neat and seems obsessed with every small detail. The hosts were the nicest mother and daughter imaginable. My wife was sick with a cold and we were provided with hot tea, cough drops and more. I recommend this accommodation for everyone. Best place ever, and just angels of hosts! Just wish I could give them a higher rating 🙂

Zrinka & Barbara are 1st class hosts & made our overnight stay worthy of high praise, making our stay there feel like we were their only travellers. Breky is just the best!!

We loved our stay. Owner is very nice and warm, good food, clean room, everything was perfect. Highly recommend. Owner provided bags for making some sandwiches for the driving.

1000% recommend this place! Short drive to plitvice and good restaurant is just a real fast 5mins away too. Place is quiet and Zrinka as well as her daughter Babara prepares awesome sumptous breakfasts handmade and lets you prep sandwiches to bring out! Their homebaked cakes and cookies are awesomeeee! Gained weight just being there for 2 days haha, they even helped u with laundry and the bathroom was heated!

We have stayed already at many Hotels and guest houses but we enjoyed our stay at Zrinka House the most. Everybody made us feel very welcome and the rooms and food very Perfect.

This was a beautiful property with flowers hanging off the balconies and the rooms were so unique and comfortable. My favorite though was the owners. Sweetest women we may have ever met. There hospitality was above and beyond. I was pretty much greeted with homemade cake and wine every time I returned. And the breakfast was delicious! Don’t think just book now.

When me an my wife read the amazing reviews here and on other platforms, we thought maybe it was overrated, but we wanted to try it. It was the best decision we ever made. We realized that it deserves even more than its rating and reviews.

We were met with Barbara's friendly and welcoming attitude that made us feel at home. She also gave us tips for our Croatia trip. She's the best!

The house and room were so beautiful and clean that it was instantly relaxing after a tiring day at the lakes. The view from the room is mesmerizing.

The breakfast was another level!
Every little detail was taken care of, and everyone goes above and beyond every expectation. Everything was fresh and of very high quality and, of course, very tasty.
They even offered us to have extra for our trip home.

You can’t find a better experience. The service was outstanding. The rooms were clean, cozy, and filled with amenities. Barbara went above and beyond to take care of us and make sure we had everything we needed for our stay and for the rest of our trip in Croatia. She was so sweet!! Also, the barbecue restaurant behind the hotel was delicious! Order less food than you think you will eat. They serve generous portions. I couldn’t recommend Zrinka House enough!! I would definitely come back!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. Barbara & her daughter were very friendly hosts and provided great service. We received a lot of tips for our travels and the visit at plitvicer lakes.
Rooms have been very clean and spacious with a nice view from the balcony.

We highly recommend that you stay here. The room was really nice. But the stand out point was the staff, especially Barbara. She was super friendly and made us instantly feel welcome. Her recommendations were invaluable and helped us a lot.

The included breakfast was awesome. We could even make some sandwiches and bring some fruit and yoghurt for our walking trip.

We already plan to come back here.

We arrived the first day a bit weary from our travel and Barbara the hostess was extremely thoughtful and generous in packing us all banana breads to take along for our trip to the Plitvice lakes. The decor of the place is mind blowing, worthy of being featured in an interior-magazine cover if not already done. The breakfast was amazing with such a fine spread and a lot of home made stuff. The most important part - the ladies who run the show, Barbara and Zrinka are an amazing duo who go above and beyond all expectations. Highly highly recommend.

First, the host and her family are so x 100 kind. I felt very good as soon as I arrived. condition of room was big and clean, so there was no flaw. Even the breakfast the next day was very delicious. It was more satisfying than a five-star hotel in Vienna. I want to visit Croatia one more time because of this place.

We stayed at Zrinka House in June 2023. It is tastefully decorated, beautiful and elegant inside and out. Though it is 7 years old, it looks brand new and is spotlessly clean. Everything is new and modern and works perfectly. We arrived with three couples and were warmly greeted by Barbara. She introduced herself to each of us and remembered each of our names, the rest of our 2 day stay. When she found out we were going to the national park the next day, she told us that we shouldn’t go to the grocery store, that when we came down for breakfast, they would provide us with food for a picnic lunch. One of our group mentioned that she was gluten free. The next 2 mornings, Barbara provided her with gluten free toast for breakfast and gluten free bread for a picnic. The breakfast buffet was excellent and they cooked eggs to order.

I can’t imagine any other place having a host as friendly, kind and thoughtful as Barbara. The personalized service was, in my opinion, better than any place I’ve ever stayed.

Zrinka House is about 12 minutes drive from Plitvice Lakes National Park, about 7 minutes drive from a grocery store and small mall and there are several restaurants within 8 or 9 minutes drive.

If we ever go to Plitvice again, we will definitely stay at Zrinka House again, but probably stay longer and tour the park in two days rather than one.

If you need to stay overnight in Grabovac, Zrinka house is the only place! Don't look for any other place. This is more than 5 star place. My wife and I travel a lot and we've stayed in many different places but we were just amazed with the Zrinka house. The house is modern, clean but the main thing you're treated like the best friend. Do yourself a favor, stay in Zrinka house.

Zrinka house was beautiful - the decor inside is very homely and pretty. Both Zrinka and her daughter were very welcoming - they provided great recommendations for dinner nearby and cooked up an amazing breakfast themselves (with thought put in for every single guest).
The room was large and warm (which was great because it was cold in the area when we were there), and we had a nice view. The bathroom was also good, with a large shower. Although we didn't use our balcony as we were only there for a night, it looked very large.
It was a 10-15 minute drive from Plitvice.
Wish we had another night to spend there!

The stay at Zrinka House was excellent. Arriving after a long drive, the host received us with cake, a drink, and a smile.

The area was also great, close to Plitvice national park. The host gave us all the information about the park.
