Banana Beach Resort

It takes a bit to get there from Trujillo, but it is well worth the trip. Great views, awesome food, and being right on the beach makes this a must visit destination if you are in the area.

The place is nice, we stayed at E21, three bedrooms, we were 6 people, the condo has a very nice ocean view, roomy and well furnished, a/c units 2 out of 4 were bad, we moved the mattress from master bedroom to the living room and found all kinds of nasty things under the bed, we called room service and they cleaned it. We reported the a/c problem and it was not repaired during out stay. Pools had excessive amount of clorox making it unpleasant to swim. The staff was nice and willing except that no service is available after certain time evenings I believe is after 5pm. Beach access is nice they even have outlets close to the beach front. Music and environment was nice. The owner was around and is very pleasant, has a good customer service mindset after chit chatting with him. I would go back and recommend this place just don’t expect a lot with room service. Is more about location and convenience. Better than christopher Columbus for sure

Great resort, amazing view, good and clean rooms, the food is excellent. Really enjoyed it. The only problem is getting there, the road is in terrible condition. Hopefully the city will fix that in the future. Other than that, I recommend it!

Very nice place to visit and to relax. The food was good and while I did not stayed in any of the rooms, the place was beautiful. The scenery was beyond beautiful. Will recommend.

More than we had expected! Very nice, we will definitely be back.

Arrived here one night ago...... already we feel like family!!. Sat up with owner and chef last evening talking and sharing life experiences. We have a rental beach front cottage and absolutely love it here. The view is spectacular, the resort is clean, well organized, well managed and one feels safe and secure. The restaurant has an amazing menu, food and drinks all excellent, pools clean and inviting and the sandy ocean beach is heavenly. You must check this one out..... you won't be sorry. We only have 8 days left here and I truly believe that we will be very sad to leave.

Great place for relax , great food service place for celebration , I just got married , the reception cost $ 160 and my decorations the person : Ms Ramirez did great job .

Always ready to receive guests! Cold drinks, hot food and totally renovated restaurant, bar and pool area! On the beach and fun bunch of people! And fun party’s at night!

Hi , My Name is Derrick Bryant and it was three years since I had the pleasure of staying at Banana Beach, I was there when the owner Rand was mapping out the pool and hot tub with his feet, I think eventually a tape measure was found ,but these are the ways at Banana Beach Resort , relaxing, you feel like this is your home away from home but ten times better,no drunken schoolboys running around screaming, "TEQUILA" and then Butchering it with an air guitar sing along! Rand (I do hope he does not want to remain anonymous). Was a gracious host and made you feel like you were his next door neighbor of twenty years,unlike a lot of resort owners he takes the time to sit down with you and talk about how Banana Beach came to be,which is a hell of a story of Hurricane( Mitch)! I didn't mentioned the food I was lucky enough to go into Trujillo for the daily shopping, everything is purchased that day unless it has a % by volume or aged ten years label attached to it and comes in a glass bottle, was exquisitely prepared one evening we had fresh caught sea bass,and it was incredible. while I was there I played pool with a couple of guys who nonchalantly wante to play pool, on the table that a hook shot was a gimme! They, like a lot of the clientele were the Dr.s and Lawyers of Trujillo and the hung around with me shoeless Joe and we had a few good nights and rough mornings but Rand made sure we were all looked after and fed and ready to go,verymuch like family!
