A very interesting place to stop and check out! It is a much longer cave than expected and you walk for a ways. Lots of interesting stalagmites and features. The path is lit with fun colored lights throughout and kept clean. The entrance isn't too expensive and they have a restroom and places to sit available. Worth a stop!
Warning: Probably not the best for older people or anyone with walking difficulties, as the path can be slippery and lots of up and down stairs.

Did not expect to enjoy this place so much! Spent about an hour walking through and looking at all the cave formations. Real nice they have it lit up fancy so you can see even the formations on the ceiling! Heard many bats, but didn't spot any.

Longer than I had expected, but not an all day trip. They have the caves pretty well lit with colored lights, so no need for a flashlight, but I recommend bringing one anyway. There are bats in the upper part of the cave that you'll need a focused beam to be able to see. There's also a bat cave off to the left as you approach the ticket booth that's not lit at all and has a lot more bays in it.

Awesome experience to view beautiful cave formations along the route between San pedro sula and tegucigalpa. Our favorite part was seeing the bats!

I have visited caves in the United States, Turkey and many places in Egypt but these by far are on the top 2. The caves are 300 meters long (the are accessible to the public) although some people think they extend many miles but due to heat and humidity it would be almost impossible to continue. The 300 meters is very well set up with a concrete path, handles, lights, etc. Hire a tour guide they do an excellent job! And they work for tips. I am very happy we came I loved the caves. If you visit Honduras you have to come! This is a Magical place! The entrance fee for locals is L30.00 (about $1.25 US dollars) and for foreigners is $4.00 super affordable.

really cool place. has some very experienced guides. caves are very hot, bring plenty of water. entrance fee is 4 usd or 30 limperias for locals. bring good shoes/expendable shoes. bring change of clothes for after cave exploring, my jeans were caked in mud. they have 3 bathrooms on site with a wash basin nearby. store nearby which has bottled water and sodas for decent prices, also have mugs and other small gift ideas. great place to bring the family and spend an afternoon or morning....we did "extreme" route which was extreme and that took a little over 2 hours.

Great place to visit, although the tour guide could use some help to improve her public speaking.

Very colorful. We managed to get there before 2 busses, so we took our time.

Not to be missed! A fantastic experience for the entire family. Many of the stalactites have been broken off, but on the bright side guests are free to explore on their own (in the confines of paved pathes and guardrails).

Fantastic cave experience. You can pay extra to go deeper into the caves with a guide. That is an adventure for another time

It is a place to love visiting. I'd like, though, to preserve it in better conditions, and to open other areas for tourism.
Any single time I visit, I see the same things. Nothing new!
...and in bad shape. 😔

The caves are great, very historic. The tour guide was awesome, he explained to us everything. If you are traveling this is a place you must come! Add it to your bucket list!

One of the Wonders of Honduras. If you pass by it's a place you definitely gotta stop and take all the trip, take your time and you imaginations and enjoy the caves. Very moist and low oxygen as you go deeper in the caves

Amazing.
For the best experience, go in with a guide. They give a lot of valuable information and explanations about everything that you wouldn't want to miss.
