New Sensation Salsa Studio

Nancy's Studio was recommended to me by the best schools in the City of Guatemala and a Bachatero friend of mine, and now I understand why. My private classes with Nancy helped me a lot, she works very closely on improving the technique and I felt like I got a huge confidence boost after having private classes with her. Her prices are the best and her new Dance studio is in my opinion the most beautiful in Antigua, open and large. Thanks a lot Nancy and Fatima, I hope I can show off my skills to you soon ;)

I was recommended to New Sensation by a friend and I owe them a big thanks. Most of my lessons were with Nancy (Victor was also good!) and I couldn’t be happier with how things went. I learned a lot, enjoyed myself, and will definitely go back for more next time I’m in Antigua.

One of a kind. If I could describe this salsa studio in one word: dedicated. The amount of instructors and the amount of attention each and everyone of them have is impeccable. Nancy, Jose, and Fatima are the instructors that have all my respects - they really saw potential in me and taught me many many things I don't think I would've known if I hadn't taken any of their classes.I had just started my salsa journey 7 months prior to stopping by at New Sensation Salsa Studio.
Just to say I had MULTIPLE classes during my one-week stay in Guatemala. I took privates and group classes. Some classes I took: Ladies salsa On1 (private), ladies salsa On2 (private), Salsa On2 shines (group), bachata sensual w/ partner (private), salsa On1 ladies shine (group), Kizomba ladies (group), Pachanga (group), just to name a few...

PLEASE, if you are in the area I HIGHLY recommend taking at LEAST one class. They are all beautiful people inside and out and love it when people stop by and ask for class information - they won't bite! They're all bilingual (English & Spanish) and have a MASSIVE amount of patience. Best part: you do NOT need a partner to join a class or get a private with them: just have your questions ready and they will make it work. Before your first class, make sure to bring a bottle of water, maybe a towel (for face sweat), and lots of energy to learn what they have to teach you!

I had the best experience here. I did mostly private lessons and a few group classes and I loved them both. I was set up with a fantastic partner who was good for my height. Nancy was really patient with me and helped me get the correct form down. Her daughter Fatima helped me with ladies styling and shines, I feel she boosted my confidence and form. Victor is another great teacher for partner work. I wasn't a beginner, but I felt I improved so much in the three weeks I was there. I will definitely try and make it back down for more lessons!

My partner and I did different dance lessons this week at New Sensation and we loved it! They have classes for different levels. You can work on partnerwork, body movement, shines. The atmosphere is amazing. If we come back to Antigua we will definitely dance with you guys again!!

I’ve been to a lot of studio and new sensation is by far the best. Not only are they some of the best dancers in the world, they make learning so much fun! It’s a family run business with Nancy and her two kids, Jose and Fatima. You can tell how passionate they are about, not only dancing, but sharing that passion by teaching other the joy of dancing. I’ve been taking classes for a year now and they are the reason I fell in love with Salsa. They’ve taken me in like family! I’ll always come back to New Sensation!

Great studio. I took 7 classes with Nancy and her children. I had never danced salsa before and it was so much fun learning and progressing each class. I learned so much and wish I had more time with this studio!!

I took a bachata lesson with Nancy, and she was a very good teacher. I learned a lot in one hour! I I wish i would stay longer in Antigua to continue!

I took several private and group salsa classes (privates with Nancy and Fatima, and lady styling and salsa routine group classes with Nancy). They are amazing dancers and teachers. Very fun, high-energy classes, and very affordable as well. I learned so much technique and style to apply to my dance and will definitely come back next time I’m in Antigua.

I had 2 private lessons here with Nancy during my time in Antigua and definitely recommend this studio if you’re interested in learning or improving salsa/bachata. It’s a very professional and clean setting, the space is big and the floors are very clean and smooth for dancing. Nancy was an amazing instructor, very knowledgeable and patient. She explained concepts and techniques thoroughly and was very professional in her approach but also very personable and easy to get along with. I wish I had more time in Antigua I would definitely have taken more classes here!

While we were visiting Antigua me and my partner took 2 salsa classes with Victor. He’s an amazing instructor and we had lots of fun taking salsa classes. Truly a must do in Antigua! The location is also beautiful

New Sensation is such an incredible Salsa studio!! I initially did one of the free group classes which was so much fun and made me want to learn salsa more specifically. I did a week of private classes with Nancy which taught me so much! Nancy is an amazing teacher and was always very patient with me and I couldn't recommend any studio more! I had such a wonderful time!

Cannot recommend this Salsa school highly enough. I was meant to stay 1 week in Antigua and ended up extending to 3 weeks just to train here. The quality of teachers and expertise on offer led by Nancy, Jose and Fatima is unbeatable. All three are internationally recognised dancers and having access to them in any form let alone at the exceptionally cheap prices at new sensation is an incredible opportunity. I took group glasses which are very well run as well as private classes every day (~13usd/hr) - highly highly recommend the privates if you want to improve quickly. Nancy has exceptional attention to detail and focus on technique. Having been to salsa schools across Latin America this one stands out as unique - do yourself a favour and stop by when in Antigua.

I had five lessons with Nancy and Fatima and would come again on my next trip to Antigua! They taught me the steps and some dance figures in a very short time and gave me some tips along the way. Step by step, I was able to achieve small successes. By recording videos, they were able to explain to me exactly how to coordinate my movements.

I am grateful for the new experience and will continue to dance.

I highly recommend New Sensations. Nancy and her team of dance instructors are professionals and excellent teachers. They take you at your own pace from basic steps to more complex turns in Salsa, and if you want, Bachata. If you are at a higher level they can train you for competitive dancing. You don’t need a partner to learn Salsa there, they have both male and female instructors who will teach you as they dance with you. James/USA

Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced dancer, they tailor their classes to suit your individual needs, ensuring that you progress at your own pace. I had a really fun time dancing there!

If you want to learn proper form and technique this is the place to be. Nancy was very accomodating and responsive with scheduling and availability. She and Fatima will teach you how to pace yourself and move your body properly. Jose is an awesome instructor. He is passionate about salsa, has a great sense of humor whilst being professional. He pays close attention to detail and will correct your mistakes until you get it right. The whole crew has impeccable patience, takes salsa seriously and it shows. I learned so many new things in only 3 days. Great place, will return!
