Grano de Café

Went here based on a recommendation from my Spanish teacher to buy locally grown and roasted coffee. Awesome place! Multiple selections, all roasted within the last few days. Price is only 60Q per pound (about $7.50 USD). They put freshly roasted coffee in each bag then heat-sealed it individually.

Not the actual cafe, but out the back is a great place to buy coffee, either whole beans or ground on the spot to whatever grind you want from a range of Guatemalan locations. If you like something strong I recommend the Acatenango beans 1/2 & 1/2 with something else to moderate the acidity a bit. About Q40 a pound.

This cafe has managed to escape recommendations on travel blogs but it’s the absolute best latte you’ll find in Xela. Mario makes amazing coffee with much skill and care. For serious coffee (addicts) lovers. Thanks for keeping me sane for 6 weeks in Xela.

This place is run by some serious coffee geeks and had the best latte and chai my wife and I had in a looong time. Head into the back courtyard to see their roasting operation and buy whole beans. If only they opened earlier.

Man, best coffee hands down in guatemala. You can feel the baristas passion for coffee in every sip. Order anything here and you won’t be disappointed at all.

Location: Grano de Café is located in a pretty easy to reach area (Zona 1 in Quetzaltenango). It’s an informal place, furnished with a creative style ;)
It’s tiny but nice and cozy!

Drink: the coffee is really good! I got an espresso and I wanted immediately another one :)

Service: the waiters are really nice and efficient!!! A pleasure to chat with them :)

Hele leuke plek om koffie te kopen! We kwamen daar aan en we kregen gelijk een heerlijk kopje koffie om te proeven. Er werken hele lieve mensen en de koffie is top! Als je in Xela bent en (gemalen) koffiebonen wil kopen, zeker langsgaan!!!

Es un pequeño lugar ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Quetzaltenango, a sólo una cuadra del parque central.

Tiene una gran variedad de café para su venta en grano y ya tostado y molido.

El café proviene de diferentes regiones y eso le permite tener un sabor especial con aroma inigualable.

El local está bien decorado y a pesar de ser pequeño se percibe un agradable ambiente

Si eres amante del café y de los buenos amigos, grano de vmcafe es tu lugar es un lugar de muy buena honda, que todos te reciben con un saludo y una sonrisa, recomiendo este lugar sin duda alguna y le doy 5 estrellas ya que el hay te dan la dosis necesaria de café en tu vida y la dosis necesaria de alegría para poder vivir no te quedes sin visitar este lugar.

El mejor café del mundo! En serio, este lugar es de lo mejor. Todos los cafés son deliciosos y el lugar es pequeño pero de ambiente agradable.
