Thank you to Tecun Uman for an amazing learning experience! The Director listened carefully to understand my prior experience with Spanish, and he matched me perfectly with a teacher for my one-on-one lessons. Each day with my teacher involved a fun and challenging mix of conversation, grammar, new vocabulary, writing, and practicing pronunciation. I enjoyed doing activities in the community accompanied by a teacher—the perfect way to learn about language and culture while exploring the beautiful city of Antigua. Tecun Uman also arranged a wonderful housing recommendation to expand the immersion and support more learning. Everyone I interacted with from Tecun Uman was welcoming, knowledgeable and very encouraging. I hope to return to Tecun Uman soon!

This is a fantistically well run Spanish school in the centre of Antigua. Mario and his team worked to arrange a teacher and homestay with just a days notice and met our requirements for 2-on-1 lessons. The roof terrace was a lovely place to hold the lessons with great views of Volcán Agua.

The lessons with Armando were fun, engaging and appropriate for our level. We started with discussions, before moving onto grammar and vocabulary. We definetely left with a better grasp of the language then when we walked in. When factoring in the cost and placement with a homestay (which itself was an absolute delight) this school is incredibly good value.

La Escuela Tecún Uman is a special place and studying there was an extremely rewarding experience. I took classes for 4 hours a day plus another 2+ hours of activities in the afternoon. I had studied Spanish before but working one-on-one with my teacher gave me an opportunity for intensely personalized instruction. My teacher looked for my input and helped me understand my questions regarding the language. As part of a well-rounded program, we practiced grammar intently and then used that learning to engage in conversation in class and on afternoon excursions.
The school also arranged for me to live with a family during my stay in Antigua. They were very welcoming and they provided delicious meals and a beautiful private room with a private bathroom. I continued to practice and learn Spanish around the dinner table.
Everyone helped make my experience memorable and the family and school were extraordinarily helpful and flexible and when my plans unexpectedly changed. It is safe to say that I could not have had the amazing experience I had without help from Tecún Uman. Thank you to all!

I studied more than half year in this school. Previously I had a bad experience with an unprofessional teacher and school in Antigua. For those peolple whom look for a place to study for long term and learn proper Spanish with professional teachers, I definitly recommend this Tecun Uman Spanish School. The director and teachers welcomed me so well and I enjoyed the time there.

Two of us very much enjoyed a week of immersive Spanish classes at Tecum Uman in the centre of UNESCO World Heritage Antigua. The teachers were skilful and taught us a lot in 4 hours a day. The school also organised an excellent homestay experience for us with a nearby family which helped us to gain some insight to local culture. The school also offered students local trips with a teacher so that we had opportunities to listen and practice our Spanish in different contexts (as well as socialising with other students).

Excellent academy for people who is looking for high quality teachers and unforgettable experiences. Staff is very professional and for the quality you get, price is good.

I was looking for a calm atmosphere to learn Spanish and here I could get it without any issue.

Merci!!!
