Trailhead to Mirador Kaqasiiwaan, San Juan la Laguna

Wow! Worth it, do it. Takes about 15 minutes to get to the top and there are drinks and bathrooms and shops your whole way up. Barely anyone there when we went on a weekday evening. Views are stunning. Painted panoramic deck with 360 views. Hawks flying above head. Make sure to stop by Táconvos (tacos y bebidas) on your way in or out for the best tacos in the world. Right around the corner from entrance.

Beautiful trail that is uphill all the way yet it is not a long walk. At the top and along the way little shops sell various drinks, food, hats, clothing, and souvenirs. The top offers an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding towns, mountains and volcanoes. The hike’s price is Q30 per person. It takes about 20 minutes to come up. Highly recommend.

Beautiful views. About 15-30 minute walk up depending on your rest breaks. I went midday but was still able to find some shady parts on the trail. Unlike a review mentioned before me, I spoke Spanish, they asked me where I was from, and when I replied the US they asked me to pay 30Q to go up. Still pretty cheap and worth the views.

I suggest bringing water and a hat or you can buy while there.

They also had a band playing when I was there, really nice and relaxing. Plenty of vendors too with water or snacks along the way and at the top.

It's about an hour hike up many steps, but that's only if you keep stopping to look at all the beautiful carved woodwork, hand sewn clothes, embroidered assesories, unique t-shirts, souvenirs, and food or drinks at one of the many booths along the way.

The location of Mirador is in San Juan La Laguna, we were in Panajachel, Solola we crossed the lake in a boat to get over there, Amazing pueblito , Lots of murals, the tourist guide and driver of the tuk- tuk very Helpful and knowledgeable ,to climb into the mirador up and stiff 675 meters up little challenging to myself and my wife but we made it. Love it . I rang the bell at the top, good small hiking .

Fun and short walk to a beautiful view. It’s steep but there are places to rest and vendors selling food and drinks along the way and at the top.

Beautiful experience! Hard to go up, but it's worth it!

You need to pay Q30 as a foreign national to enter. There is large official poster up between the trees before you get to them. The but that they use to collect money has no signage. So it's a bit difficult to tell if it's genuine or not but the sign looks official.

About 10-15 min to the viewpoint. A couple usd fee to get in for foreigners.

Great experience, but it requires plenty of hiding on several steps and uneven terrain.

Amazing view at the top, relatively short walk up. Good alternative if figuring out how to get to Indian Nose seems too complicated. How much you pay to get in depends on who you are, at least from what I saw in the line. 10Q for Guatemalans, 20Q for Latin Americans speaking Spanish, and 30Q for other foreigners. Sorry, that's just the way it is

Este lugar tiene una vista espectacular el lugar es muy lindo, ver los pisos con pinturas coloridas es algo muy lindo, la entra cobra al turista Q10 por persona, para subir es muy largo y unas partes muy empinadas hay que andar ropa cómoda

Desde el mirador de San Juan la laguna se mira todo el Lago de Atitlán y desde arriba se ve bonito tiene bonitas vistas todo el camino para llegar a el mirador

Espectacular la vista, las personas que tienen sus puestos muy amables, los mejores precios de souvenir están a la mitad del ascenso un muchacho joven nos vendió a precio justo varios recuerdos, sombreros y otros

Viaje durante 8 horas desde Baja Verapaz hasta San juan la Laguna Solola, considerando el trafico, excelente experiencia en moto
