Hotel Villa Maya

The staff members are very friendly. The rooms are spacious. The hot water for the shower is awesome. The environment is beautiful. However, the rooms smell a bit musty and some towels have stains of mold. We also got quite a lot of bedbug bites.

Villa Maya felt like an oasis to us, from the location in the jungle to the beautiful rooms to the food to the incredibly kind staff. A little outside of Flores but the short drive was worth it. It was our favorite hotel of the entire 3-week-trip.

Special thanks to Marcos in the restaurant who was so nice to us and even got us the recipe for their Petenchel Sauce from the cook.

Great property. Spacious rooms with “Scandinavia meets tropics” design. Nice restaurant and pool. Great Lake views and extensive hotel grounds with cool walking / running trails. Basic WiFi in the rooms, good signal in public areas. A property worth visiting.

I got to admit, coming to Guatemala in general was super spontaneous in my part, however, the places I visited and the hotels I stayed in especially this one have created memories that I'll never forget! This hotel is was amazing, there's deer when you enter looking at you like if we were the zoo animals! Crocodiles are supposed to habitat the surrounding lake which I really wanted to see but didn't get the chance. The lake view is relaxing and picturesque so for people who like a great scenic photo or video, this place is it. The bikes that you rent are top notch, I rode them through mud and rain! The restaurant was good and the rooms were big and comfy. So if you are in Flores, Guatemala, this place should be top of your list in hotels to stay!

This hotel is the perfect place for a relaxing retreat. The premises are so beautiful and surrounded by nature. All sorts of fauna and flora, it never gets boring. It's so so amazing. The rooms are also spacious, clean and comfortable and breakfast is quite good. The lakes are stunning and worth a visit on their own. I'm really happy we chose Hotel Villa Maya for our stay in Flores. It's close enough to the main town but still very secluded and private. 10/10 :)

Amazing property! We loved our room overlooking the lake. A very spacious room. Lots of wildlife to be found on the property including monkeys, alligator, foxes, scorpions, and more.

We had a great time, I just wish we stayed longer. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has Beautiful grounds. Andelso ( I might be saying his name wrong) at the front desk was very helpful and professional.

Hotel Villa Maya has amazing things to offer including Monkeys right on their property! They prepare amazing food including wonderful Vegitarian options! I highly recommend Hotel Villa Maya!

We stayed here as part of a tour of Guatemala. This hotel is right near the Maya ruins of Tikal, and is a sight all by itself. Wonderful facilities, and lots of birds.

BEAUTIFUL place, super friendly staff, great food, peaceful. Sad that my vacation ended, and I had to leave. You would not be disappointed.
