Sitio Arqueologico El Chal

The place is not excavated but is easily accessible, free to enter, and there are two employees who are knowledgeable and willing to give a tour. With their info on the ruins you can still feel impressed by the sheer magnitude of what the mayan accomplished while standing atop the acropolis and forgetting for a moment that it is a man made feature. No food or drinks available, not alot of walking is necessary. Instead of the entry fee I pd a tip to the guide who was genuinely surprised. Not many visitors, on average about 2.5 a day : )
