I think it was the Best steak I ever had, so tender cooked just right. The sauce that came with the samosas was Phenomenal. Great caesar salad and chocolate terrine dessert. The house whine was very good. I would highly recommend going there for dinner.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fermento and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with a modern and sleek atmosphere that immediately caught my attention.

The food was simply outstanding - every dish was expertly prepared with the freshest ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors. The menu offered a great variety of dishes, from classic Latin American cuisine to innovative fusion dishes, and everything was executed to perfection by the talented chefs.

The staff at Fermento were also a highlight of my visit. They were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, always on hand to offer recommendations and make sure that my dining experience was exceptional.

The drinks menu was also impressive, with a great selection of wines and cocktails to choose from. The bartender even created a custom cocktail for me based on my preferences, which was a really nice touch.

Overall, I cannot recommend Fermento enough. If you're looking for delicious food, fantastic drinks, and a modern and sophisticated atmosphere, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to the city.

A must visit when in Antigua!
Hector, the owner and chef, is the greatest host. Great cuisine at a great price.
Had the “Fermento Burger” and its highly recommended.

Fermento is a place that is so good that my wife & I ate there for lunch & we went back to have dinner on the same day. It is worth a visit, or two, or three. If I lived in Antigua, or close by, I would go eat at Fermento a couple of times a week, at least.
Hector, the owner, was very friendly & welcoming & came right over & introduced himself. He spoke with us for a long time & made us feel quite welcome.
The food and wine was excellent, which is exactly why we went back for dinner. We'll be back for certain!

Good music and drinks and atmosphere/music-highly recommend

Absolutely fabulous. The interior designer should also be congratulated. Such a lovely ambience. Classy and comfortable.
The menu selection is carefully planned. We ordered the honey roasted ribs. The menu said spicy but they were not. They were however cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth.
The Mac and cheese is deep fried and breaded. That was very heavy and filling. It also came with outstanding coleslaw.
I ordered the burger which came with wedges. They were fantastic. I couldn't finish the burger despite its not large. It's excellent btw.
To finish we shared kahalua ice-cream sandwich. The best dessert we have had in along time.
Do not miss this restaurant. My taste buds are still celebrating 😄. Beautiful wine and good beer 🍺. Great night

I was sooo happy when I saw the brisket sandwich back on the menu at Fermento! I’ve enjoyed several great dishes there (the pumpkin ravioli and the chocolate pâté come to mind) but this sandwich—mmmmmm.

They smoke the brisket in house for hours. It’s falling-apart tender, and always trimmed of fat. They stack a montón of the meat on homemade focaccia slathered in a roasted garlic aioli, adding a generous handful of super-fresh arugula before topping the sandwich and slicing it in two. Which is good because you’ll probably need to share it with someone.

This is not a diet dish. It’s very rich.

They used to serve it with house made au jus which I do miss, but they recently started serving it with pickles, which I love. The acid is a welcome counterbalance and really makes the flavors pop. I’m not a fan of the wedge fries. Twice they have been under cooked. I prefer the chips they used to serve with it. Come to think of it, where did the shoestring fries they used to serve with a cocktail go? Miss those too.

Even without those tasty accompaniments, and even though I’m gluten intolerant, I will be back for the brisket sandwich.

Great food! Steak was super tasty and draft beer was cold and refreshing.

Randomly stopped in here... the owner greeted us and was great! Beautiful old villa with great drinks and atmosphere! I would say it's a must stop walking through town!

Writing this review while here at Fermento - incredible atmosphere with its indoor/outdoor seating, beautiful decor, well priced drinks (for foreigners at least) and delicious desserts. Come and stay for the amazing live music!

Food was fantastic. I was there for a Thanksgiving set menu. I felt like I was home. I want to try the normal menu. Very good, highly recommend.

Excellent. Spacious, with patio, garden and a nice, sun-lit bar. Efficient, friendly staff and the brisket sandwich was finger-lickin' good. Nice wine and beer selection, too.

Truly delicious breakfast and drinks!

Lovely place, really satisfying food, great service, the brisket burger was the best thing I’ve had in months, staff very friendly, I definitely recommend this place! Can’t wait to go back! Very decent pricing as well! Oh and I thought it was very thoughtful that they offered free women’s moon cycle napkins in the bathroom.

The food makes your mouth tickel with joy. The service is one of my favorites in Antigua. They treat you like family. It's hard to find service like this here.

Absolutely the best food I have eaten in Antigua!! I started with the caesar salad, a glass of the house Tempranillo and then slow-cooked brisket sandwich. All of it was outstanding and the service was genuine, professional and highly attentive. I strongly recommend this place.

Great patio and beautiful decor. The pork belly tacos and mezze were great. Also highly recommend the ravioli. Great place for a cozy date night ! Great service as well, responsive and extremely friendly.
