With 2 tables downstairs, space for 3 people at the bar, and some tables upstrairs, it truly is a tiny restaurant. We sat at the bar, which is also the kitchen. We got to watch the chefs in action and saw all the food as it went out to the tables.
We had the caprese salad, which they were kind enough to split into two plates. For mains, we had the prawn curry and the steak.

Great food, great service.
Definitely book ahead, or you might need to wait outside for 45 minutes.

Heard this place was delicious and it was so great!! I had the steak w Peppercorn. It was yummy but not a flavorful as I would have liked.. my new friend I met there (I came solo and we sat together) had the shrimp pomdoro, it was excellent!! Wished I had that… we also had a the brownie and ice cream, which was so delicious! Highly recommend this spot 🙏🏻

Also ask to sign the wall, fun memory!

Only six tables upstairs which is accessed with a mix between stair and ladder with a rope.
I loved watching the cooks cook in a 2 m x 3 m kitchen.

What an experience!! I’ve traveling for over a month and by far the best dining on my trip. Carolina was awesome and provided great service. Carlos the chef was super friendly and serves amazing food. Can’t wait to go back.

Very fun vibe and great food. I had the chicken BBQ baguette. You can write on the walls and you have to use a rope to go upstairs. Staff was excellent, but we did have to wait an hour.

Vibrant and lively small eatery. Very reasonably priced delicious food. Great little spot if you are in Antigua. As it's a popular spot, I would recommended that you arrive early to guarantee a table and avoid queuing.

The steak was just incredibly good - especially for the price .. amazing!! And the atmosphere is so cool and unique .. ask for a pen and write something on the wall!! & try the wine: yuuuuummie.

THE coolest space in Antigua - amazing food. Wonderful service. It’s honestly a really special treat that Por Que No exists. The owners are so warm and lovely. The space is so cool. You won’t regret it.

You have to make reservations here or no table available and it is a first class rated fusion with very reasonable price. It is a small place with two floors packed. The customers eating here get to graffiti on the wall if you find place.

Amazing dinning experience. Would easily pay £35 for a meal like that in London. Roasted eggplant was incredible. Recommend for a little more up market place to eat in Antigua.

Unbelievably good food with the charming service to match. Was treated very kindly from start to finish and had one of the best meals in Antigua here. Would recommend a reservation since it’s a very small restaurant that can fill up quickly.

A very special little restaurant, not a lot of space inside so either go early or make a reservation.
It is very dark inside and you need to climb some steep stairs. The walls are all covered k graffiti but my o my the food is so delicious.
The staff is very nice and helpful and may I say it again, the food is to die for.
We had the spicy shrimps (can’t remember the official name on the menu )and an eggplant dish,
Both were not only very pretty but one of the best we ever had, and we have travelled extensively .

This place is one of a kind. It is a tiny hole in the wall with barely any signage outside to even let you know it’s there. But the food is very, very special, lovingly prepared by the proprietors. We were visiting Antigua in July and I accompanied my daughter, her husband, and two of my grandsons for dinner. We were squeezed into the corner upstairs, but that’s all they have—spaces to squeeze in to. The food was delicious. I think it is one of the top restaurants to experience when visiting Antigua.

There's a reason this place is so highly rated, the food, atmosphere and staff are great! It's a very small place so be sure to plan ahead and book a reservation if you want to be sure you can get in. They prices are very good and the food is very fresh with good portions. The owners are so welcoming and nice! They also have English and Spanish menu's for anyone who may need. So glad we were able to get a table on our last night in Antigua.

The tiniest of places but with such character. The food, service, staff and experience were all top notch. Make sure to book in advance.

A cozy, tiny place located six blocks away from the central square. The food is excellent and, for what you're getting, very reasonably priced. The menu is quite small but what's on it is all good stuff. The steak I had was juicy and tasty, cooked perfectly medium-rare. The chicken was tender and the sauces were both gorgeous. The star of the show, however, was our waitress who spoke flawless English and had a sharp sense of humor while staying attentive and courteous. The vibe is awesome as well, a kind of a southern speakeasy with New Orleans Jazz oozing quietly out of the speakers. The only minus is that the place is tiny so unless you have a reservation you'll probably wait all night for a table.

From the start, you will be greeted with a smile and made to feel at home. The food is delicious and presentation beautiful. My two favorites are the spicy shrimp and the steak with peppercorn sauce. The owners, Carlos and Carolina, along with their staff, do an incredible job not only filling your hunger with deliciousness but your heart and soul as well. I always leave feeling like I was given a big hug!…
