Frontera La Mesilla

January 21 2024: The border is closed on the Mexican side for an undetermined time because of migrant issues. Guatemalan immigration advised me to go to Camoja (Guat), take the bus to Gracias de Dios (near Nenton) and cross there into Mexico. From Gracias there are good bus connections to Comitan (Chiapas) and Camoja.

April 2023:Never had such an easy border crossing anywhere in the world...except that the only immigration officer had gone for lunch and I had to wait for her to come back 30 minutes later 😀

I crossed the border here with a shuttle service from San Cristóbal. No problema with the borders just had to wait a bit for the shuttle to arrive. The town has some stores to buy snacks and use the bathroom. The exchange rate here was probably better than any other place so may be it's a good idea to change here.

Real easy to cross border. It not tough to get into mexico. I tell all my friend cross here.

Is it possible to cross the border on sundays? Someone told me it is closed on sundays.

Entspannter Grenzübergang, ich kam mit dem Bus von San cristobal de las casas, nach einer kurzen Wartezeit ca. 5-10 Minuten war ich bereits drin. Pass zeigen, Ausreisekarte abgeben. Stempel bekommen. Fertig. Der Bus hatte außen gewartet, danach auf der guatemaltekischen Seite Impfungskontrolle und danach zur migración Stempel abholen. Fertig.

Super entspannt und straight forward.

グアテマラの出国手続き終えたらメキシコ側には乗り合いタクシー使って行くといいお。ぼくは2,30分ぐらいだろうと真っ暗な夜道を歩いて行ったお。・・・1時間かかったお。皆は真似しちゃ駄目だお(＾ω＾)

グアテマラ側の国境です。メキシコ側から4キロ程離れています。イミグレーション間はタクシーがあり、乗合なら10ペソです。商店街を抜けて10分ほど登ったところにチキンバスの乗り場があり、ウエウエテナンゴ、シェラへの直通バスに乗れます。

Es un lugar muy transitado, hay muchas personas entrando y saliendo obviamente. Para salir sólo por volver a tener tiempo de turista legal en México debes estar 3 días dice la ley. Y también es bueno para ir de turista, hay muchos lugares de venta de cosas bastante bien, barato y bonitas.

Un lugar seguro y con mucho comercio 👌

Frontera La Mesilla, es un pueblo en donde el negocio principal para los ingresos de sus habitantes, es el comercio. Además de caracterizarse por la cortesía de su gente. La Mesilla acoge cada semana a comerciantes de México y Guatemala, es la aldea con más movimiento económico en Guatemala.

Pues la verdad es una clínica muy especializada médica y cirujana sol clinica medica en frontera la mesilla la democracia huehuetenango

Me encanta este lugar porque es muy acogedor y la gente muy amable tengo bonitos recuerdos recorriendo nuestra bella Guatemala

Muy fácil el acceso

Bonito lugar, el comercio es una fuente importante de ingresos en el lugar donde los productos que venden van desde ropa hasta electrodomésticos, todo a un precio accesible.

Bonito lugar lastima que ya llebamos más de una semana sin luz.

Muy rápido acceso para el Cruze entre Guatemala y México además yo les recomiendo a todos los que van a cruzar cambien sus quetzales en dicha frontera

Me gusta el ambiente,no hay puerto fronterizo peatonal,(hay confianza jajaja) pero el tipo de cambio no es el real

Muy bonito se gosa con el viaje que se ase desde Guatemala asta la Mesia..
