El Gato Perdido Deli, San Juan la Laguna

Lovely place, seating is in a beautiful garden. I came off season and an hour before they closed to prep for dinner so there wasn’t anyone else there.

I got a burger, which to my surprise was delicious. It came with yummy fries.

I paid cash, their menu said cash only but I think the might take card as well with an additional transaction fee.

A sublime food joint run by a family. The quality of food, and the service easily tops any restaurant we visited in Guatemala up to date. The dishes and the flavor profiles show the maturity of the chefs and their skills.

If you are tired of plantains, beans and tortillas this place is for you :)

The owners have created the most relaxing atmosphere to enjoy their 5-star food. We made reservations (highly recommended!) and ordered the camembert dip, a bacon mushroom pizza and creme brulee to share at the end of the meal. Staff was very attentive to our needs and requests, the chef thanked us personally, every detail, to the music, was spot on! The most luxurious experience we have had in Guatemala!

We are here in December and choose this restaurant as we love the breathtaking view and food at Gato Perdido in San Pedro. It’s the best restaurant in town! The location of this Gato Perdido was super cute. It’s a little out of the center with a beautiful garden full of plants and fresh herbs. Loved the details with all the LP’s and little signs that says “Beer is like water for happy people”. It made me laugh. The people working there are amazing, the service perfect and the owner, Jose Luise is a very charismatic gentleman. He made us laugh with his stories. We didn’t know what dish to order so ordered different dishes which we shared. We were so happy we did as everything was so delicious. The pizza’s and burger are the best I have eaten around the lake and we were fighting over the artichoke dip. I would strongly suggest to eat here when you visit San Juan.

This is an amazing quaint small Bistro and Patty was so sweet with our kids and babies. The Caprese salad was very tasty and the panini was also excellent. I would very much recommend to locals and tourists, because they are bilingual. 👍

Amazing atmosphere, incredible service. My wife and I had a wonderful visit and plan to come back. Highly recommended!! The owners are incredibly friendly and ensure a wonderful time.

Just a cute almost hidden place , friendly services and the chef is accommodating. Cool records you can choose from which you set in the herb garden. They also made a vegan pizza for me, the sauce is unreal

Jocon de Pollo was the special and it was amazing. Great food and atmosphere. The cooks wear chef coats and the kitchen is very clean. Mostly an American menu, however, they had Mayan specials which were great.

I had an amazing experience today at this restaurant. A lovely place with a sweet garden and very friendly staff(mother and son). We ordered the spinach/artichoki dip with nachos with an amazing coffee experience( see picture) and afterwards the best vegetarian pizza we had in San Pedro and San Juan. I totally recommend this place!!

Delicious food and lovely service. Worth the money

El Gato Perdido is an oasis in San Juan! The only thing better than the food and service is the atmosphere. After a long day of hiking, there is no better place to be! The music is wonderful and the food is prepared with care and attention. Seeing the chef come into the garden to cut fresh herbs for each dish was an unexpected treat! Great choice for vegetarians in the area!

The pizzas (hawaiiana and pepperoni lovers) are absolutly amazing, and so are the brownie with ice cream as well. Friendly staff and chef. Would recommend the place to everyone!

Very nice food here. Good place to sit and nice ambiance. They charge 10 percent service costs. So it can end up to be quite a bit expensive

we had the onion soup, zucchini carpaccio and the vegetarian pizza and loved them all - iced tea and smoothies are delicious too. staff is friendly and the owner is caring - 100% recommened.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a small restaurant in San Juan, Guatemala run by a talented chef and his loving mother. They specialize in pizzas, risottos, and pasta, and I can honestly say that every dish we tried was absolutely delicious.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with cozy, intimate seating and a welcoming atmosphere. The chef and his mother were both incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that our experience was nothing short of perfect.
We had the margherita pizza for lunch and it was so delicious that we came back to the restaurant for dinner to sample some other items on the menu. The risotto was also fantastic, with the perfect amount of creaminess and a wonderful mix of ingredients.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Italian food in Guatemala. The combination of amazing food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere make it the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy.

Such a beautiful and quaint restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and music. The food was out of this world. The service was wonderful with so much attention to detail. We finished our meals 45 minutes ago and already can’t wait to go back!
