When we entered the consulting room, the doctor was on the phone. He gestured for us to sit down and continued talking on the phone for six more minutes, discussing drinks and family parties etc.
After the lengthy call, there was no apology for the unprofessional behaviour. He went on to take the history and check other parameters.
However, the most shocking bit happened when it was time for the examination. Instead of checking for the parameters in the antenatal book like the fundal height, the heart rate of the baby, etc, he wanted to do a vaginal examination. This is my third child and so the third antenatal and no one nowhere has asked to do a vaginal examination, it is not even stated in the antenatal book.
Of course I refused it and that was the end of the examination, he didn't examine anything else. I was so shocked and disappointed and never went back.
