Great location, friendly staff, secluded and very close to the beach

Obviously for a rich white American person this place is like a cheap inn.
But the community of amazing people makes the place awesome, I really hope to come back here someday soon, even tho I was sick when I got there, it was still fun, and my family had to stay in the cheaper units without any A-C it was still fine.

Manuel’s guest house hospitality is second to none. I spent 9 days at Manuel’s guest house and fell in love with this place and the workers. Manuel’s guest house is a family ran business and they treat every guest like family. The rooms are clean and well kept. There is a great outdoor court yard space to hangout and a bar that has great drinks. Be sure to have the owner Emanuel make you his famous piña colada using fresh pineapples.

This is the finest place to stay in ALL of West Africa. I'm not kidding! Wonderful rooms and accommodations along with owner Emmanuel Mishiwo, an extraordinary chef and host await you. I cannot wait to return!

I stayed at Manuel's for three months while working at Challenging Heights, a local NGO. The experience was nothing short of perfection! Manuel creates a home-environment and is readily available for any help or assistance a guest may need. I was so impressed by the hospitality and warmth of everyone I met during my stay. The staff are kind, friendly, and always willing to help. There are kitchens available for use, or the staff will also be available for preparing meals.

The guesthouse is less than a 5 minute walk Sir Charles beach, a popular spot. I always went on Sunday mornings - it was empty and I had the whole beach to myself. Its beautiful for laying in the sun, enjoying a walk, or going for a jog. Be weary of the water - the waves are strong.

I stayed in one of the first rooms as you enter the compound. I had a large bed, private bathroom, balcony, and spacious room. Although, I didn't spend much time in the room, as Manuel's is an easy place to socialize. If you enjoy cards, bring a deck! I could always find someone to play a game with.

There was wifi for about 80% of the time while I was there, and Manuel was fast to get it set up if a guest asked for it. (I wasn't using it much). There is a generator if the power goes out, although that only happened once or twice during my three-month stay.

There is also a small shop at the entrance run by Manuel's wife which has a lot of snacks, drinks, and cooking ingredients. Just be sure to buy what you need on Saturday, as the shop (and most others) will all be closed until late in the day Sunday.
