AFRIKIKO RIVER FRONT RESORT

The peaceful location and clean, welcoming environment make this place a great choice. There are plenty of games available for everyone, including football, volleyball, and table tennis. The boat ride is a highlight, and the swimming pool and poolside are the perfect way to relax. Overall, a place to love and enjoy.

Nice place to visit. They had a live band which was great. Kendra was amazing with her services. Menu were affordable and great .

The view is just fabulous! Beautiful grounds and the decor is both rustic and elegant. I did not stay here, so I cannot comment on the rooms. I just stopped by for lunch. Presentation wise, all of the food looked amazing. I'm not a meat eater, but I hear that their meat dishes are delicious. If you love spicy food this is the place for you! Even the rice was spicy and very tasty, but my fish was a bit dry. The yam chips were not that great either. So get the jollof rice and the local cuisine....very spicy and tasty!

The service is too beautiful and the are well trained to make you feel good. The environment is serene, food very good, no mosquitoes

The river front resort is strategically placed right by the waterfront with excellent and serene view. You see many people in boats going by daily. The design is good with a lot of trees, shades and blends very well with nature.
The restaurant is positioned right by the lake on stilts so you see the water underneath with fishes inside.
You can leave some of your toast to feed the fish. It is a bed and breakfast with a good line up of food .
In the afternoon there is a buffet with an array of assortments, usually local and some continental which is good.
Rooms were not super but average but cost was very high, not sure if it was because of the Christmas holidays. Would advice you make reservations first so you don't get disappointed. We paid for a family room with an adjoining room, was not synonymous with the pricing (overly priced). Staff are awesome with full security detail even at the car park which was great.
Looked the food at the restaurant and the cultural display at the background which drumming and dancing.

Right from being located conveniently close to the Asuogyaman-Atimpoku road, the resort has beautiful scenery with breathtaking views of the lake. Rooms were very well kept except for some maintenance issues like weak wardrobe boards and faulty taps. Overall best impression was the food! My God! Their food was superb. Wide variety buffet with very healthy choices to choose from. Would definitely love to go back for another vacation.

My partner and I have been thinking about a getaway for a couple of weeks now. We had been torn between Western Region and Volta Region, so many awesome places to see either ways. More so, due to work commitments it was proving a bit of a challenge to get away so when this loooong Easter weekend presented itself, we just had to take advantage.

Let's just say that whatever our expectations for Afrikiko were paled in comparison to our actual experience!

The drive to the resort was a pretty good one (if you're traveling from Accra that is) Besides the bit of traffic along the Afienya - Shai Hills Road it was generally okay. Our drive back took us barely 2 hours (from Afrikiko to 37 Military Hospital). Definitely 4/5!
First impression of the Resort was good. We drove on a narrow cemented road from the main road down to the entrance of the facility. I must mention that getting there in the evening (0630pm) did add to the ambience too with the whole place lit up.

If you're a nature person it'll feel like you're in heaven for sure!

Food was good throughout our stay. Service takes a while though but I can say in all honesty that it wasn't unreasonable.

They had quite a number of fun activities at the resort - boat rides, live band, salsa dancing, painting lessons...

There was a variety of birds within the premises too, that's if birdwatching is your thing..😃
The staff were very pleasant throughout our stay too!

Overall we had a good time! Would definitely visit Afrikiko again..⭐⭐⭐⭐!

It's a nice place where you can go for a vacation. Good food, nice swimming pool and a lot more. It's a place worth visiting

Clean and relaxing rooms, met some friendly workers who were always willing to assist you(ask for Jemima to wait on you) Great live band music on Saturdays ( taller actually needs a record deal😂). Excellent food as well. Serene environment. I’ll definitely recommend to others.

Very beautifully designed in a unique way . I love this place because of its greenery and bamboos designs. It’s a very peaceful place to be relaxed n enjoy. We also got the chance to met its owner, who is a very gentle and a friendly person . Planning to visit here again 😊

Beautiful environment! All staff were friendly and attentive, great service! Enjoyed a nice meal on the covered deck right at the waters edge. Amazing view! We also took a boat ride up the Volta river to the Adomi Bridge. Unforgettable!

My wife and I visited a couple of weeks ago, and I must confess, it is the best weekend getaway we've ever had. The place was beyond perfect; the food was super and their customer service was excellent. I want particularly thank Prince & Abigail for wonderful service, these two made our time at the restaurant unforgettable. If you are looking for the perfect weekend getaway for the family, Afrikiko River Front Resort is definately the place to go.

Best water front resort in Ghana! Great food, both local and continental. Serene environment, nice greens, trees, flowers, etc. Great activities for the whole family including boat cruises on the Volta Lake
