A great place to visit as a tourist, local families and excursions groups. A tribute to Dr Nkrumah Ghana's first ever president who fought for Ghana's independence from colonial rule.

A nice place to take in a piece of Ghana's culture and history. It can be busy with groups but there is ample space. There is parking but it is also easy to reach here by public transport.

Be aware that locals with ID get preferential rates to enter.

There's a bar inside where I watched the African Cup- fun Surprise. Great atmosphere. Pretty in the evening when the place is illuminated with the colorful lights! Cash only. Closes at 8 pm.

This is a nice museum dedicated to Ghana's founding father. There was plenty of parking available. It was easy to get tickets. You can have a self guided or guided tour and we opted for the latter although the guided tour wasn't explicitly listed as an option. We randomly happened to be behind a group that was getting the guided tour and it was offered to us. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun. Definitely make sure to ask for a guide if you are interested. Overall, it was an educational trip and I learned a lot. Highly recommended.

When you get out your vehicle there are entrepreneurs with items to buy if you want. My party bought some keychains for a very reasonable price. The lobby is air conditioned, has clean restrooms, and a few good picture spots. The guided tour is both inside and outside. They do not allow photography of any kind inside. The tour is actually very short. Maybe 20 minutes with a short break for photos on the balcony. It is wheelchair accessible. I am a big reader, so if you can do it without the big group, I would recommend that because I felt a little rushed. The only thing is the tour guide provided very good information, so maybe do the tour with the guide and then go back, if you're a nerd like me. The place was beautiful. It is 20 min of walking/standing so beware. And it's Ghana so the outside side parts will be hot and humid. We had a bonus because it was Accra Fashion Week!

It was an awesome experience. Our tour guide was very courteous and ready to answer all our questions.
It's a memorable park that lingers for a long time. When you visit Ghana, please make it a must to stop by.

A well known site to Ghanaians and people all around the world. Whether you are her on business or on for pleasure stop by. There is so much history and knowledge that can be found at this center. Affordable entrance fee and multiple things to do. My favorite part was the benches and shaded grass area. The grass area is perfect for lounging or a picnic should time allow. I would suggest bringing your own drinks and food as the food there was overly expensive. The museum was nice, but a quick question walk through experience. I didn’t have a guide so that may lend to a different experience. Looking forward to returning next year with a larger group.

The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Museum is a place where you can learn about the life of a significant person in the history of Ghana.

The museum is designed in a way that helps you understand and connect with his story. The museum is in a beautiful park with greenery and fresh air.

Our only problem was that our guide seemed tired, which affected our experience a little bit.

However, I would recommend this museum to anyone wanting to learn more about Ghana's history and independence.

This was an unforgettable walk through the historical rich facts about Kwame Nkrumah, the father of a UNITED AFRICA. I get really inspired after my visit. I appreciate the Ghanaian authority to preserve and conserve such a memory full library of the first democratically elected leader. Rest on.

Beautiful park, there was a beauty fair going on the day we visited so there were lots of things to buy, hair and skin beauty products. The park is neat and there’s snacks and foot to buy, lots of seating area as well. The highlight was the museum, very detailed and showed Kwame Nkrumah’s life work, his story, how he died, some of his belongings were also on display. It was a beautiful experience. It costs 100 Ghana Cedis per person for us because we are not Ghanaian citizens.

Loved the place.
It's a cool and beautiful place to visit as a tourist.
Our tour guide told us wonderful things about Kwame Nkrumah.

It has lots of his personal stuffs, and I'll say they're doing a very good job in preserving them.

What an experience. It had been over a decade since I last visit the third site of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The park has transformed to respect and truly honor the legacy of a truly transformative and iconoclastic leader. There's places to sit, lots of shade, a library, and even a restaurant on the premises. Great for all ages.

The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park is understaffed. You’d have to wait in queue no matter the time of day you visit. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time.

If you’re there to actually tour the place, your chances of getting a tour guide are very slim. You see school children trooping in, in large numbers especially getting close to the weekends and knowing that the guides are just few, you’d be sure that some will just pass through and take pictures without proper history lessons and explanations.

The renovations to the place are awesome. With the introduction of the walk-through audio museum, snack bars and others. What they didn’t factor in, is operation and definitely maintenance.

Hear me - tourists had read about the place and seen videos of the fountain ⛲ They wanted to come down and experience it, which they did. When they got here, they were told that the person who turns on the fountain is not around!!!!

How??? The grass is already starting to look bad. I’d be disappointed if this place goes back to the way it was just under a year.

One of the reasons I am in love with Ghana is their culture, art and history! Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park encompasses all that. You'll get an understanding of the history of Ghana and their founding fathers.

You'll get a peak at their unique architecture, the political history of Kwame Nkrumah, his family and see where he was buried (PS: his wife is buried next to him). You'll also get to see some of the quotes he's known for and see a video of his speeches.

It's also a great place to just chill and unwind. They sell food and there's music as well. You'll get to see some art and the classic car driven by Kwame Nkrumah, the piano he played amongst other belongings of his.

I highly recommend you visit the park when you are in Ghana

Wow. People may have different views of President Kwame, but his life and presidency was very interesting. Just the fact that he was the central point in Ghana gaining its independence. The crazy part was hearing how many times his body was moved before the final resting place. It's a very beautiful park. There's signs all over the place saying not to touch the artifacts. Please respect the rules, clearly some people couldn't figure that out even with a big sign on the artifacts. Heads up; there's separate admission fees, one for Ghanaians and one for everyone else (which is more 🙄🤷🏾‍♂). Definitely a must see when you visit Accra.

One of the incredible tourist sites in Ghana. We paid 25 cedis each per person and that's for Ghanaian citizens
