My new favorite sushi restaurant. Evidence of “do not judge a book by its cover”.

From the outside, it looks regular in comparison to all the nice restaurants in Ghana. It’s not fancy looking but the fooooodddddd is everything!

If you love sushi, you should try the salmon carpaccio, their seaweed salad is also really yummy.

This place is such a gem! I almost want to gatekeep it so bad, but sharing is caring so here goes my review.

When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Nana, the supervisor on duty. Her energy was so warm and infectious! Loved her so much. She ushered me to their upstairs outdoor seating and offered my date and I some fried calamari on the house. And wow, that was a huge portion of calamari on the house! The fried calamari was so yummy, my goodness!! My date and I ordered the takoyaki for starters and it was absolutely delicious.

We also ordered the dragon roll and the canoe’s gift sushi. Both types of sushi were amazing! The salmon used for the canoe’s gift was exceptionally fresh and I really enjoyed that. And the dragon roll is one of the best dragon rolls I’ve had in Accra! Very close contender to the dragon roll at Rockefellas.

My only complaint is how expensive the food was, but with that service and the quality of the food, I can close my eyes small.

I’ll definitely be visiting Canoe more often! And I hope you all have an experience as awesome as I did.

Very good sushi. I had the octopus salad as a starter and two different rolls. The prices are expat prices but reasonable and way lower than at Shogun Sushi.

The staff is extremely friendly. The go the extra mile. I waited quite long for my Uber. One of the waiters approached my and waited with me so that I’m safe. Moreover, he brought me some mosquito repellent. I didn’t accept any tip when my Uber finally arrived.

This is by far the best dining experience I have had whilst in Accra from the taste and presentation of the dishes to the service, the value for money and most importantly no reservations, no pretentious servers and diners. Just a more down to earth, easy-going setting.

The love and attention that Chef Noy puts onto his dishes is felt in every bite. The seafood dishes always tastes very fresh. My personal favorite is the octopus and salmon carpaccio. And the grilled salmon is cooked to perfection that it literally melts in your mouth. And to add to all of that are the servers who are always pleasant and attentive to every detail which is not common in most places in Africa, let alone Ghana. I highly recommend this place. If the weather is nice, choose a table outside in their balcony surrounded by orchids of different colours and species.

The place is nice , the meals are superb to tell the truth it's one of my favorite avenues where I find myself.

The service is very good. Might be the best wait staff I've experienced in Accra. They were very attentive and friendly. The seating area is small but decorated well with lights and AC even though it is an open air roof. The sushi was priced well considering the competition and we were all quite satisfied with the food. Even driving in and parking was easy. Definitely recommend as a sushi place in Accra.

Really delicious and filling sushi!! I had the mixed sushi combo (I can’t quite remember what it’s called) and the spicy shrimp roll. Wow! Delicious and very cute. There’s also two very cute cats there.

I was impressed with the customer service! What a joy to be able to write that. The food is fresh and delicious. I had one incident where a new chef didn't quite hit the mark on a lobster dish but Canoe Beach restaurant refunded me and I doubled my next order! Keep it up.

Amazing! When you think sushi, think of canoe. When I pulled into the parkway I felt like I was in the movie karate kid and was looking for Master Miyagi to come greet me. As I ascended some stairs. I came to a nice roof top dining area. I never been to Japan but this place sure felt like it. I stated off with my favourite go to drink, Mojito!!! I continued to order a Miso soup to start the night off right, and it did just that. I was amazed that it wasn’t the insta powdered type. I continued to ordered some salmon maki rolls with a few other assorted ones. The flavour, the freshness and the service is amazing. Canoe hands down has to be the place you go when you think of sushi in Ghana.

Really lovely service and great sushi

Great fresh taste with fresh ingredients the size of the salmon piece is so good not to big nor too small and the prices are so moderate, what I loved most is the atmosphere so cozy and cool and something that we don’t find much is the food service and the owner checking on you if any comments in general it’s a place with a must visit and repeat visit
