South Planks Farm

We visited for reclaimed bricks but there is a wide range of stone paving, setts and other items. The indoor area is small but has some tasteful homewares. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cafe is popular and booking seems advisable. At 10.30 on a wet Thursday we managed to get a table and enjoyed our coffee and cake.

Had a visit recently. Was a very friendly and warm environment. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The cafe had a lovely selection of food and drink with options for vegetarian, vegan and allergen diets. All in all, a very nice place

Came in to have a look a new kitchen tiles and a bite to eat staff couldn’t have done more for us Amber was lovely and pointed us in the right direction of what we were after. Also food is delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent people to deal with, we have bought many items off them, they also have a department that cut and machine the stone to your exact specifications. South planks is our first point of call when any new project arises. All of the staff are helpful and courteous at all times. The delivery service, if required is also excellent and on time. I have used them extensively over the last few years. Nothing is too much trouble.

Purchased a Hearth for my fireplace .. First one turned up damaged.. The girls in the office, Amber, Becky and Abi sorted out another one immediately without any questions asked. Excellent service and product.. Will most definitely be back .. 100% recommend 👍

I rarely leave reviews, but wanted to share a quick story that I think says a lot about the levels of service and commitment to quality that South Planks have.

We purchased a table from here recently after instantly falling in love with it when visiting the shop. We had it delivered and it looked even better than we had imagined in our new home! After a few weeks however, the wood had split (nothing to do with the quality or craftsmanship, it just happens with raw materials - and it was becoming a bit of an eye sore). I messaged the team (not expecting miracles but hoping for a solution). After a short exchange of emails, they rebuilt me an entire new table made to spec, and delivered it at a time to suit me (taking away our old one in the process).

Receiving emails such as the one I sent can’t have been ideal but they dealt with my enquiry promptly and professionally, took complete ownership of the situation and found a solution without any friction at all.

Anybody who has visited their showroom will tell you that their rustic furniture is stunning, and the one-off pieces they make are reason enough to shop here.

…But their amazing furniture is overshadowed only by their service.

Can’t recommend these guys enough, and if you’re in the area they’ve got a great cafe too! Bonus 😉

What a great team. I had a very specific requirement (not a large order by any means) but the Sales Team went out of their way to fulfil the order and expedite delivery. Great example of what good service should be with the items received in 24 hours.

One of my favourite places to eat. Used to drive here all the way from Preston, now happy to drive here from Burnley since moving. Food is always great no matter what time of day, the cakes are amazing. Loads of vegetarian and vegan options too.
Would definitely recommend booking a table, especially at weekends and to ring or message beforehand to preorder salad boxes of wanting to nip in to collect those to go.
Staff are always friendly and great coffee too.

I had been having issues with people parking cars on the garden at the side of my house and was looking for a quick solution to stop this. Visited South Planks and was amazed at the variety of boulders to choose from. Decided to purchase 16 of the smaller type and arranged delivery. Even visited the wonderful cafe there for a quick cup of tea! The boulders arrived within a few days and after a quick paint job, they are now in place and look amazing. Already had a few nice compliments from neighbours. I would certainly recommend South Planks and thank Sarah and the team for the excellent service.

Probably the best customer service I have ever received - Sarah was brilliant from start to finish. Great comms which included photos of options (barn siding), a great price and what stood out, was that they were happy to fulfil a small order whereas other rec yards wouldn’t because it was too much hassle. Because of this, I won’t go anywhere else in the future. A lesson to be learn’t - don’t forget the small customers. Fantastic business and great timber. Thank you.

Just great to walk around and browse all the fantastic products inside and out. Staff really helpful but not pushy.

Great selection from high end of the market statement pieces to great well designed budget items.

Somewhere you just need to keep coming back as stock seems to change all the time.

Great place to visit and look at a whole range of different things for home and garden. Bought two very large olive trees which were delivered and placed brilliantly (it was a difficult access) . Customer service and aftercare were first class. They kept me updated by phone and email all through the delivery process and called afterwards to make sure we were satisfied.

The service at South planks is fantastic. We first discovered their amazing showroom on our way back from the Lakes. They were so helpful and friendly and answered our many questions, nothing was too much to help us with. We transported items back to London and they were great at following up orders once we were home. We're so happy with the products we have from South Planks.

I have recently discovered this brilliant place. It is a unique mix with reclamation stuff, fantastic interior design, stone and a brilliant cafe! Brian and the other staff are really helpful. Recommended.

Drove past on the way to Flowerbowl and had breakfast yesterday. Lovely place very impressed with the service and politeness of the Asian waitress. Popped into the store and ended up potentially buying tiles for my new house. Amy was very helpful. Once I've moved in I will be back to furnish with all the uber cool stuff

Love it! Fabulous place to visit with the most interesting and beautiful home furnishings I think i've seen in the North West! Friendly and helpful staff. A real pleasure every time I go there - there's always something new, and the cafe is excellent too!

Fabulous food, proper bistro and out of the boring mainstream. Great prices, wonderful staff, countryside location. Check out the retro and unusual shop. You're in for a surprise! Excellent 5 star xxxxx
