A larger convenience store than you may expect. Good range products and aisles that can easily fit mobility scooters down. Friendly and helpful staff to. Well worth a visit if you've never been here.

Well in 7 years of going to the coop I have never had an unpleasant experience until this evening. I go out of my way to go there and sometimes it is the only shop I do a week.
This evening I bought an orange label item which when I looked had not been reduced down, also the sirloin steak I had bought seemed more expensive than i thought it was going to be. I checked the shelf and they had overcharged me a £1 on the steak. I explained this very nicely to the woman that had served me. She hardly spoke and definitely didn't attempt an apology. Refunded and put the orange label item back through. The steak she got someone to check and said "no its £6.25, I explained I read the shelf said coop rump steak said £5.25. She then continued to say, well that's the price. I asked to see the manager as I thought perhaps she couldn't override the till when it was incorrect. She then gestured at herself, smurked and said "you are " I was so shocked with her behaviour and so were the customers behind me. I left feeling I was the one in the wrong when I wasn't. I bought about 10 items and was charged incorrectly for two of them. If you go in there make sure you check you are paying the price you think.
I feel so disheartened that my regular go to, where I usually have a lovely chat to the staff now has someone like this in a management position.

The manager I dealt with was only there a number of weeks as I have never seen her again. Staff back to being excellent.

Well humored polite staff who seem content in their job and services. They also have good knowledge of where stock is located and the store has good prices when discounted.

Fine for what I wanted but very short on fresh fruit and veg

Staff are nice and pleasant, and shelves always seem to be efficiently stocked. However the waiting time at the tills is shocking, this is down to lack of pace from staff and that the older generation on the estate go in there to do sizeable shops and this takes obviously takes time. Rarely do any other staff jump on tills to relief the long queues that form. Suggest a couple of self service tills are installed as this will help the flow of the queue a lot.

Dry pork chop, tough rabbit. Not worth going again.

Always a queue in here, young lad with dark hair on the till is very friendly, I always feel sorry for him. It’s almost like he isn’t allowed to ask for help on the till. Shop used to be lovely and welcoming sadly I don’t feel that is the case anymore. Never get a hello when you walk in even though you’re a regular and been shopping here before it was a Co op. Nearly mowed down outside because of lazy people and food couriers parking by the cash point. They should never have introduced deliveroo/just eat here it’s clearly more of a priority for the staff to do then serve the customers.
