Dilmore Store

Throughout the Covid crisis, as a `shielded` and vulnerable couple, we have of course used supermarket home deliveries - but they are all out-shone by this wonderfully supportive village shop.
They offer a huge range of produce, at very competitive prices, with a free delivery service (utterly safe!) and are so warm and friendly. Asking for an order delivery in the morning always means our groceries are with us very quickly.
We will continue supporting this lovely village and community gem long after all this crisis is over - they are brilliant.

Very good shop. Has recently been refurbished with a great selection of things! Good services too such as Hermes and Paypoint. Really friendly staff too who are always happy to help.

Lived in the area a little over a year. First time I went in this shop I was overcharged (only by the odd pence so let it go) then again and again overcharged until I brought it up with the lady. I was told that the discounts come off at the end of the purchase which I was unaware of - so no problem. Then I had the husband at the end of the counter speaking to his wife I a different language which I think is rude in itself. Then was told that its nothing to do with me what they're talking about (when I was in the middle of speaking). Anyway - that was that. Then I go in the other day and my one year old knocked a bottled drink on the floor - obviously I picked this up and left once I'd bought what I needed to. Then I went in today for a can of pop and was told "make sure your son doesn't drop anything on the floor again - at least have the curtsosey to tell me. Which is completely out of order - I would never disrespect someone's livelihood like that. Everytime I go in this shop - whether it be to collect a parcel or to get some bits and bobs this man has an attitude with me - sometimes he won't even speak to me. I get along perfectly with the other workers - his wife, the elderly lady and the parents and in laws (who worked when they were sway). My son is 1 year old and doesn't know - I would always pick up what he's dropped. I won't go in this shop again whether it's convenient or not. The man obviously has an issue with young ladies - I'm not the first that he's spoken to like crappie or just ignored. Shame as it's a lovely convenient shop and the others are nice people. Won't be lining his pockets again. Would avoid like the plague - just doesn't seem to have any respect for young ladies.
