We visit regularly and are always really pleased with the food, the staff and the atmosphere. Fantastic cake selection and outdoor seating. No dogs inside but covered outside area suits us fine on a rainy day 🤗 The view from inside and out is just lovely and you can even sit on ‘the pier’ couldn’t recommend enough!

What a gem of a place, waterfront position with a great informal atmosphere. Extremely hardworking staff - who were welcoming, friendly & attentive. The food was exceptional: fresh locally sourced ingredients; superbly presented, with a menu for a range of tastes and pockets.
The fact that it was so full, on both occasions we visited, speaks for itself. Obviously a firm favourite with both locals and visitors & deservedly so.
This place punches well above its weight!

Made an unplanned stop while passing. Very busy on a Sunday but were well accomodated by Jason.

A very nice range of cafe and more restaurant style food. The venison dish was particularly good.

Would definitely recommend.

This is a gem a true gem of a cafe / restaurant. The staff are superb. Well trained and knowledgeable. We loved our lunch at this delightful establishment. The food was simply outstanding and great value for money. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Lairg is a delightful village made all the better with eating places like this.

Cracking wee stop after doing the short loop walk starting at the visitor centre. Lovely views across the Loch. We only had coffee & cake but oh my god. Genuinely the top 1% of cake I've ever had in my life. Like insanely good....Go get some....

Stumbled across this place on our drive south from the north coast of Scotland and we feel very lucky to have done! Great atmosphere, amazing chefs as our food was top notch, friendly people and delicious beers! We had the Venison burger and Chicken Ham hock pie special followed by the chocolate tart. All 10/10. Cannot fault them.

Lovely, clean and cosy.
2 big unisex toilets with baby changing table and disability grab rail.
Food was nice and well presented and they had lots of freshly made cakes.
Hubby loved his cappuccino and my mocha was delicious....I'm very picky about the flavour of my mocha and it's honestly the best I've tasted.
Inside and outside seating, and a small but lovely gift shop inside.
Well worth the visit.

While driving across the North Coast we stopped off here randomly to get some breakfast. It was a pleasant surprise. Great location and excellent service. It was quite possibly one of the best breakfasts we have ever had.

Being from London, it's quite rare to find restaurants with such a great emphasis on using fresh local ingredients - so the difference this made was quite noticeable. We all got something different and every dish seemed very well thought out with every ingredient working harmoniously together. The portion sizes were just right, leaving us all very satisfied. This experience alone has really put into perspective the importance of sourcing local and fresh. The restaurant is also quite transparent on this, with a blackboard listing where the majority of their ingredients are sourced.

On the way out, we took a slice of white chocolate and berry cheesecake and a berry and mango blondie. Again, these were exceptional. The cheesecake was the best I have ever had. I cannot vouch for the other items but they all looked amazing so I do not doubt you will enjoy them.

As Muslims we do not consume pork / non halal meat so we requested that our breakfast be prepared with separate utensils away from meat items and this was done for us happily.

I doubt you will leave this place disappointed.

Popped in without a reservation. We said we only wanted a bowl of soup. They offered us a table but said it was needed back for a certain time, for another booking. We took soup and chowder, and it was lovely. The desserts looked delicious, so we took them to go, and we were not disappointed. Lucy made a great job of getting the fudge cake into the takeout box. We will definitely book for our next visit.

The crusted fish was delicious and well balanced. The blanched kale underneath was so yummy, having soaked up the creamy saffron sauce. The highland hot dog with haggis topping was great too. We were too full to have desserts but their cake selection looked lovely. Highly recommended!

Great wee place I found thanks to Google maps. We needed a cake break and Lairg seemed the place to stop. Nice view of the Loch and passing ducks.
Great service and great food! Would recommend and we will be back

Our experience was great! The cafe looks lovely inside and is such a nice place. I thought the food was delicious, however it did take quite a while to arrive. Altogether I would recommend a visit.

I will say this place is not fancy but functional, in saying that it's comfortable but the outside space is fantastic. The girls are all lovely and friendly, the food is just one of the best we have had so far. Really good!

You can sit there at look put on to the Loch, fantastic setting, great food, fantastic service. Thank you.
