The food here is fantastic. The staff are lovely and I will be returning coz that's the best lasagne I've had in a long time.

Served in the bar and not the lounge as they were just opening. This wasn't an issue as we were looking for a quick bite to eat.

All day breakfast served up and great banter with the owner and staff on arrival and throughout. Early football was provided on the TV in the bar as we ate which gave great atmosphere and welcomed in many others for the game.

Recommended for quick bite food, bar meals and alcohol for all manner of sports and welcoming location.

The food is lovely and you get plenty of it. We ordered the roast beef and were not disappointed, you even got extra gravy!
With the new guidelines you have to book a table and everything is sectioned off. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. They really looked after us. Will be back

Food is INCREDIBLE
The chips... Just wow.
Absolutely delicious!! I got a sandwich with chips and coldslaw which was super tasty and my husband got ham, egg and chips. It was lush.
They were in the process of painting the outside which freshened the external nicely, it may need some refreshing on the inside. But this I'm sure will come with time.

Staff were really friendly and quick to help where possible.

We will be back again and probably make the trip from Penrith to the beach more often now we know this is here

Went for our evening meal last night (2/9/2020). Good range on menu and plenty of specials on blackboards. I settled on the roast beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding, my much better half decided she fancied the turkey dinner. Both were huge portions of meat with mash and baby roast potatoes and there was a shared vegetable plate. Carrots, garden peas, cauliflower and broccoli. A separate boat of meaty gravy too. Very tasty and good quality.
We followed with the cheesecake which was a good sized portion and very scrumptious. Happily recommend to anyone and hopefully we’ll return at some point for another session. Well done to the friendly, welcoming staff who all seemed to be on top of their game and were attentive without being pushy.

Dog friendly in a certain area of the pub, big with lots of places to seat, ordered the burger which was massive! The coleslaw was beautiful and the chips were amazing! Three of us had the burger and two got the jacket potato which they were very happy with. Only issue was diet cola was in a can and not on tap.

Food was beautiful, hot well cooked, we had Sunday lunches lamb was cooked perfectly, turkey cooked fine also, all vegetables properly done even at 7:30 on a Sunday night! Catered for a family of 5, service quick friendly, clean can not fault it at all will definitely be returning when we come back to stay and £41 for 4 dinners, 4 drinks and 1 dessert

Went for a meal tonight and it was fabulous. The portions are big with plenty of everything. Staff are great and prices are even better. Highly recommended.. 5* Well Done Everyone 🤩❤ xx

Called in for lunch the seating was well spaced and the food was excellent great value with super service.
The toilets were clean and well looked after. I recommend it highly and will definitely visit again. 12 out of 10.

Excellent friendly service from staff and owner. Pleasant surroundings,good atmosphere, food and drinks very reasonable. Food menu has plenty choice, specials board and gluten free options.

Really enjoyed the meal three different meats,turkey,beef and ham on the dinner,includes a pudding but not the premium pudding just chocolate cake or ice-cream,still it's great value meal.

Fantastic meal, one of the best roast dinners.
Don't go by the look of the place, the food is fabulous, and that is what matters.

Great food polite staff had the chicken balls in batter with chips OMG!! The chips were amazing crispy but not dry and the chicken was great would definitely recommend this place

Can only judge this place mainly, on external visits. Have been inside once, so far, but just like outside, this establishment is spotless.
Situated not too far away from where we are staying, the bar, and restaurant opens late morning, has very friendly staff serving food, and drink.
As with just about everywhere else around Cumbria, dogs are welcome, as long as they are dry! There is a seating area outside, roadside, but fenced off.
The restaurant is a good size, dry dogs are welcome at the bar area to the left. There is a good sized car park opposite, which, as far as I know, is free.
The sunset seen here last night, was something to enjoy.

A most hospitable place to eat and drink. They were very polite and helpful in choice of menu. Had cheese and ham badguet which was served with salad, coleslaw and crisps. Will definitely be visiting again when up in Cumbria.

Food absolutley delicious here and not extortionate prices either. Best thing about them is they're dog friendly too. Would definitely go again :)

Only had a coffee but that was really good and served with a chocolate biscuit. Other diners commented that their lunches were excellent and the service was good also.
