Absolutely amazing fish and chips. Be warned, the fish portions are huge, so unless you eat a lot and are hungry, the medium fish is more than adequate. Even the lite bites are a decent portion. The chips are chunky and filling

Fish was huge & it was classed as medium.
Maybe a wee bit pricey....but in line with all other chippies.

I was a bit apprehensive due to previous takeaways while on holidays but I have to say this was 5 stars, the 1/4 cheese burger I had was very fresh and well cooked, not deep fried to a crisp like other places. And the Cumberland sausages well very tasty.

Best chippy locally to us, always busy which speaks volumes, order over the phone & pick up to speed up the process, kebab meat & chips is a HUGE portion!

Me and my Dad got a well done fish and chips about a month ago after coming home from Carlisle hospital. The food was great. The chip's were good and the fish was huge, I should have specified the size as it was far too big for us both but luckily my partner ate the rest of mine. Definitely a decent chippy. Shame I'm not local as it beat's everything we have to offer where we live.

The Dalston Fryer in my opinion is the best Fish and Chip shop in the Country.
Not only are their fish and chips gorgeous, their pizzas are better than anything I've ever had in New York City.
Tyr anything on the menu at The Dalston Fryer and you will not be disappointed.

Now that is a chip Shop! Fish and chips wow amazing 😳 the size of there fish is unreal and loads of chips. Helpful staff and not thinking they are above you. Shap Chippy needs to visit a proper Fish and chip shop and see how it's does. 13 chips in a portion! not here!!!

This is an excellent chip shop. We had fish and chips today which could not be faulted, the fish was huge and freshly fried and the chips were properly cooked and not all stuck together. Staff were courteous and helpful and provided us with two full size plastic forks, not wooden tooth picks. We will be back!

Staying for the week decided to have a chippy tea as my son and family back from a few days in Edinburgh.

The food was absolutely lovely, no grease on anything, not even the scraps. Really lovely staff. Nice to know they use all local produce. Large portions... We had large battered sausage, chips and peas. Scampi and chips. Scraps and some tartare sauce at it was around £17 so not cheap but definitely worth it.

Fantastic Fish and chips, good portion, light crispy batter on a large fish and lovely chips that are tasty (I am not one for chips normally), not greasy or soggy when you get home. Good service and timing for picking up. Highly recommend

When it comes to food quality and taste, this is the best fish and chip shop in the area. In my subjective opinion.
