Mehmet's Fish & Chips

We stopped here and having checked reviews we chose here. Honestly the best chippy I’ve ever had. Crispy batter, top notch fish and perfectly cooked chips wi try a slight crisp. Honestly it was superb. £9 a fish supper isn’t cheap, but actually well worth it.

Stopping locally, read the reviews and gave it a try. Wife had fish and chip's, super crunchy batter on fish, I had a kebab, meat was super tasty and not greasy. Both our chips were really well cooked, not under done. Portions are large.

Busy place with large menu options, we only had a couple of Wraps as we'd had a large lunch elsewhere and just wanted a smaller snack, and we didn't fancy anything from the options at the motorway services.
Want to come back and try a chippy super from here next time I'm travelling this way, judging by the number of locals popping in and phone orders, I expect its good.

Steak pie and chips for two (could've fed four!) was absolutely great. Really lovely pies and perfect chips. The service was quick and cheerful. I'd definitely come back to Mehmet's.

The best fish & chips ever!!!! I am more than happy to drive 40 miles each way just for this treat. Every other chippy is compared to Memet's now.

Excellent service. Mr Mehmet and his team were outstandingly welcoming and cheerful. The food was delicious. I recommend this place for anyone on his way to or from Scotland.

Had difficulty finding the shop as it had moved round the corner from the original location. However the food was really delicious and one of the nicest fish I’ve had from a chippy. It was a really generous portion size as well and had to eat the supper in two sittings. It was £8 for a fish supper which is about average but it was extremely tasty so definitely worth it. Would 100% recommend.

Great chip shop. Travelled from Carlisle twice to have food from here. Would highly recommend 👍

Lovely fish and chips, just perfect for dinner on our route from the Midlands to Scotland. Veggie burger was also very nice. It's good to find one I like, as they vary so much from restaurant to restaurant, and buying 'blind' is always a bit of a gamble!

Stayed last night at the gables Hotel and decided to have fish and chips here, did not mind waiting for fish to be cooked fresh to order. Fish and chips were amazing, crispy batter chunky fish this will be our services stop on way back up to Lanarkshire. 110%guys..

Best chippie around gretna area .fish and chips like they should be. come on guys Update the prices on the Menu as well as the prices you are actually charging .......
