Found this place to stop at during a long drive and looked like a nice place to stop.

Was very busy when we arrived on the bank holiday Monday and they put us on the list for a table (all seemed very organised even though the staff were clearly very busy)

I had the burger which was amazing!
Definitely homemade. Thick, juicy and crumbly soft. Good amount of lovely strong smoked cheese. And a really really soft fresh bun.

My wife had the cream cheese and bacon bagel which was also very good.

We also enjoyed a very good latte and hot chocolate.

Took a piece of the lemon cake away for later and that was also excellent.

Would highly recommend the food here and we will definitely be back next time we're passing through.

Outstanding food and lovely, professional service. We have tried several of their soups and their specialty burger. You can not miss with any choice. And don't forget cake afterwards. They have outstanding selection of tasty cakes.

Haven't given any stars for the rooms as I didn't stay but... third time here having visited Northumberland and this is ALWAYS a highlight! Food is amazing, staff are great and never rushed! You may struggle if you just turn up for a seat as it's so popular but the staff are great at letting you know how long your wait will be and I promise you it's worth it!!!

We stayed at Bertrams from 2.10 23 to 6.10.23. The food was very good. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The owners and all staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
I would have appreciated another shelf in the bathroom.
Also it might be an idea to provide a coffee table or two small side tables to put your tea/coffee cups on when watching tv.
These are my only niggles
Would l recommend Bertram's
definitely with a resounding YES.

I had the avocado smash with smoked salmon and it was fab, filled me up for hours. My boyfriend had the full English which was again, ace. Great service and a lovely little find!

Stayed overnight at Bertrams on our way to Bamburgh and absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and after seeing how busy the retaurant was we wished we'd popped in for food first.
The room was gorgeous and we loved the fact we could sit on the window seat and see Warkworth Castle from our room whilst we were relaxing. The fridge hidden in the wardrobe was definitely welcomed as was the fan in the room as it was a warm night.
After a great nights sleep we went down for breakfast. We had a full English which was really tasty and a generous portion (I wouldn't have had the oats as well if I'd known this lol).
We will definitely be back and won't hesitate to recommend to our friends & family!

Lovely cafe and staff. excellent Breakfast of Craster Kippers / Eggs Florentine, Illy Coffee. It was sunny so we sat in outside in the courtyard.
Sept 23 - we stayed for a night, lovely comfortable room - super king sized bed, nice bathroom. would happily stay again.

We stayed in Warkworth for a week and visited Bertram's 4 times, that alone has got to say how good it was.
The food was excellent and so was the service and a plus for us it is dog friendly.
We will definitely visit again when we're in the area and we can whole heartedly recommend that you do too.
Just a little word of warning, it is not a place for the diet conscious, this is a full fat yummy experience. Loved it !

Absolutely brilliant! I would give 7 stars if I could. The place is great, breakfast delicious, bedrooms comfy and stylish and Warkworth is delightful. But the best thing of all is the staff! Alisha and Ester went out of their way to help us when we arrived late and very wet after a long rainy cycle. We had dinner booked at the Fish Shack in Amble and they drove us there themselves so that we didn’t miss it. Thank you for your kindness.

Came here every day from our self catering cottage in Shilbottle before we carried on with our daily sight seeing. Really nice and friendly staff and nice food. Dogs welcome inside and out. Can recommend cheese and ham toasty, quiche and hot chocolate with everything thrown in it. If we're ever in the area again will definitely be our 1st stop of choice for a bite to eat. ☺ 👍
