I bought a carrot cake slice, shortbread, and cardamon bun for my drive to Skye, and each were spectacular. Incredibly good bakery, coffee, people are delightful, and it was my first time passing through Dunkeld. I will definitely come here again.

Everything was superb. Full of flavour yet mellow and rich at the same time. We came a long way for a visit and weren't disappointed.

Surely one of the very best bakery and coffee shops in the northern hemisphere. The best bacon roll I have ever had (and I have eaten a few) with rhubarb ketchup: roll and bacon both perfectly crisped. Then an exquisite spiced plum and patisserie cream (perfect) pastry with a ginger crumb. And fabulous coffee. So good we returned the next day and I had exactly the same. A wonderful discovery. Bought bread and one of Flora’s cookery books. My wife described the first recipe I made from it as “the best thing you have made”. Tiny, with only 9 seats, but proof that small is beautiful.

Lovely small bakery with a delightful mix of options including croissants and cookies. We tried the focaccia and kimchi toastie, both were brilliant. The coffee was delicious!!

Love this bakery, it’s definitely worth going out of your way for if you’re travelling to the Highlands or even a day trip out of Edinburgh or Glasgow. I’ve visited a few times and have really enjoyed everything I’ve tried so far - sourdough bread, coffees, pastries and their cheddar & kimchi toasties! It’s very popular on weekends so make sure to get there early for the best selection. A real bonus is that their staff are really friendly and helpful.

A bakery, not really in the middle of nowhere but still you wouldnt expect it there. After all Dunkeld is pretty small but the town and Aran made a name for themselves over the last year and the creativity of the town and also the bakery incl its other store combine beauty and taste like no other. Friendly staff, a really friendly owner who spent a whole chatting to me about all things café and bakery. The building and decor and very well done, simple and stylish. I tried a flat white, cortado, almond croissant, loaf of bread and foccacia and all were fantastic.

I'd make the trip to Dunkeld just for this place!

Spectacular bakery. Not only the impeccable esthetics, great coffee and most importantly superb food.

We ordered a range of selections from savory to sweet and it was wow. To be honest the pistachio croissant may have been the best baked good I’ve ever had - and I’ve had plenty from France and Italy and beyond!

The pork & Apple sausage roll was delicious (available heated as a sit in option) and the Cardamom Bun was sticky, sweet with a delicious cardamom flavour.

All paired with a coffee (dairy alternatives available and also delicious) and a seat in the window makes for a great stop in Dunkeld.

My new favourite bakery. Was visiting for the weekend, and will be honest in admitting that the long held desire to visit ARAN bakery was one of the main reasons we chose Dunkeld. I was not disappointed. Delighted. The pistachio croissant is possibly the best pastry I've ever had, it was still warm and just to die for. Also had some loaf cakes (lemon and poppyseed was a real highlight) and a blood orange pastry which was gorgeous and light. Three is a really annoying trend of overbaking things currently, and it was a genuine pleasure for this to not be the case at Aran. I'll probably force my husband to drive me to Dunkeld again soon just to visit again. The bakery is lovely, too and the staff were really welcoming and friendly.

So pleasant and staff so friendly. Sat in twice in one day - cakes and coffee were fantastic.
That good took some home.

Stopped here while touring. HUGE sausage and apple rolls and awesome sweets. All priced very reasonably. Loved them

As well as visiting the Cathedral and the fountain in Dunkeld, Aran Bakery is a "must taste". Before we get to the baking, the coffee is excellent and the homemade marshmallow in the hot chocolate is real treat as well.
The baking is excellent and everything is worth a try, my particular favourite is the almond croissant.
One of the nicest things is the friendly atmosphere and energy the place seems to naturally exube.
Well worth a visit.

This place is a little gem. My gf found it through one of the Instagram folks she follows. The savoury stuff was insanely good. I never go for veggie stuff but did this time amd was blown away by how good it was. The desserts were superb too.... next level bakery

What a wonderful and cozy place this is! One of the best chocolate croissant we ever had. Perfect amount of flakey, buttery and chocolaty. The haggis roll was good as well. A must visit place if you are passing through the town.

Feb 23 - perhaps the best custard tart EVER! We love Aran Bakery's fresh, imaginative and consistently delicious bakes. Today it was amazing carrot cake and tasty pain au chocolat. Lovely coffee too! We left with a raspberry and custard brioche (yum) and a savoury sage and onion focaccia which beautifully accompanied home made Cullen Skink. Well done Flora for establishing this Dunkeld gem. Very busy with a diverse clientele. UPDATE April 2017 - amazing rhubarb and custard cake :-) UPDATE October 2022 - Happy 5th Birthday Aran Bakery! Still the best!!

Really great coffee, home made bread and pastries. We got an arran cheddar and kimchi sourdough toasties with flat white/latte. Superb🤤
