Beautiful meal chicken burger in a light batter. Portion sizes excellent if you can't finish then take the rest home in a takeaway box. Excellent chef

Bread board and then cumberland sausage with chips. Very nice very filling. Zero alcohol beer on tap as well.
What's not to like.
Well worth a visit.
It was very quiet when we went so no problem booking a table of 4.
We will be back.

Had a lovely meal with the family here last weekend, food was delicious, warm friendly atmosphere and great service, we don’t eat out too often but glad we chose The Plough this time, will definitely be back.

Lovely Sunday lunch - excellent quality roast beef and lots of fresh vegetables. Very generous portions and the prices are reasonable. Service was very prompt and friendly without being intrusive. We look forward to our next visit! Wreay is a pretty village if you want to walk off the excellent puddings.

Excellent staff. Food was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only 2 miles from M6 motorway so is the perfect place to enjoy a break on your travels.

Food was very very good, staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive while eating.
Seems a popular pub as it was busy, and not just folk eating which is still good to see.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Found the perfect spot to stop on our journey from Scotland to Manchester. It was only 5 mins from the M6, we got a lovely meal & the kids could run off some steam in a picturesque country setting.

Such a lovely pub. The staff very attentive, relaxed atmosphere. The food mouth watering, Geordie Boms were a first and very nice. The food is obviously home made and to a very high standard. Will be back

Went for Sunday lunch and the food was absolutely incredible. The vegetarian option was probably one of the best Sunday lunch options I've had in the 6 years I've been meat free. My family were also highly pleased with their Sunday roasts. Really really enjoyed it, and will definitely go back again!

Last minute find to stop overnight and boy what a find!!!! 😍 Great pint (much needed after 8 hour drive!!) Food was absolutely spanking!!! (Such a shame we just couldn’t finish it.) Staff were all so friendly and helpful. I’ve never done an online review but this was just so lush…would definitely recommend!!!

2 Roast beef dinners, bangers and mash and a fish pie.
One of the best roasts I’ve ever had. The service was friendly and the portions generous. Well worth a special trip.

Had the best Sunday dinner ever today! We had lamb shank, Cumberland ring and steak pie (made from scratch when ordered) between us. The veg was gorgeous, especially the cauliflower cheese. Highly recommend as its a fab pub with fab hosts!

Very good Sunday roast. Beef and gammon soft, succulent and very lean. The spicy red cabbage was a nice surprise. The cauliflower cheese was to die for. Great beers. It's not a posh place, kind of homely and friendly and very casual. Casual clothing recommended.

Have been here today for tea. Food was amazing. I had the fish pie, so full of fish and prawns, with lovely fresh veg to go with it. Hubby and the rest of the family went for the burgers, beef and chicken, both were abso huge and came with the most gorgeous crunchy chips.
Beautiful pub in a beautiful area, amazing food and very friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
