This pub made our day🥰 we visited on 11th of March(tonight) . I rang ahead to double check they allow dogs in the eating area and yes we were allowed in the bar to eat. The bar is gorgeous like a pub should be and the welcome we had from the locals were heartwarming. The food was fantastic, the best homemade chips ive ever tasted in a long long time ,the steaks and mixed grill were gorgeous and the corn on the cob cooked to perfection. The barman was so friendly 🥰 The owner called Budgie was fantastic. We wanted stay all night but had to drive😪.But Budgie gave a number for a taxi service so next time we are here and WE WILL BE BACK we will have pub crawl first to have a pint with Budgie and then down to the Seahorse . I highly recommend this beautiful pub and Restaurant. Best wishes Annie and Darren and the dogs😉 xx

Visited for a meal tonight (Tuesday evening) - 2 adults and 2 kids (12 & 14).

We ate in the bar area rather than the restaurant. Between us we ordered main courses of gammon, lamb shank, beef lasagne and Oink & Moo (4oz rump and half rack of ribs). Our main meal prices ranged from £12.95 - £18.95. All the food was absolutely fantastic, served by very friendly and helpful staff.

Portions were very generous, but plates were cleared by all!

Would thoroughly recommend it and would definitely visit again...in fact, we're in New Quay for another 3 days, so we might very well visit again over the next few days anyway!

Food is always great, a wide selection of starters, mains, desserts and side orders.
The chef is a brilliant cook, no skimping, and cooked to order .

Lovely little dog friendly traditional pub.
The food was amazing and the portions do not disappoint. Daughter had the vegetarian masala and said was the best vegetarian meal out she has had in a long time.
Bar staff and locals very friendly too. 100% worth a visit.

Stopped by after trip to New Quay and wasnt dissapointed. Full mixed grill filled an empty tum and being dog friendly, the dog even enjoyed his steak. Love meals, lovely hosts and good prices. Thanks for a nice round up to a lovely day

What a fantastic pub, so friendly. It was like we'd known them for years. The food was delicious, I had chicken in peppercorn sauce, laced with Welsh whiskey and the chips were home cooked. My partner Paul had the gammon, the best gammon he's had in a long time. I highly recommend this pub. Felt so at home here. ❤❤❤

Came here for our Sunday lunch on Easter and it was beautiful! All the food was cooked perfectly, highly recommend the turkey. All staff are so polite and accommodating. Owner was good with the kids and he even gave the kids chocolate after they ate their lunch. Very reasonably priced here too. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you for a lovely meal

I stopped for a drink here whilst on holiday with my parents, but we were really tempted by the menu. It was so busy though that we decided to come back another day and booked a table. Best decision we made whilst on holiday! On the return visit for the meal, the food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were enormous! The chips were like proper chip shop chips, and the side of cheesy garlic bread was an entire baguette, absolutely covered in cheese! The atmosphere was fantastic, the locals clearly love this pub and they've got regular entertainment. If you go for food, make sure you book a table in advance, you won't regret it!

We ate here again last Saturday night, (21st Nov). It’s off season and the customers are clearly local people. Budgie the landlord and Jake his manager run a tight ship! Cracking food, great welcome and a real pub atmosphere! Despite all the difficulties the CV19 pandemic has brought, our bottle of Merlot was at a perfect temperature, and my goodness, the chef here is on a roll! This is some of the VERY best food I’ve had in a pub for a long, long time! We both had starters, and my spicy chicken wings really hit the spot! With a real chilli warmth! This was followed by beer battered cod and chips with mushy peas. The beer battered fish was elevated to a new level! Large chunks of flaky white cod in a crispy, crunchy batter. The portion was stunning, as you can see from the picture the tail had to be folded over to fit the plate! Fantastic! We both left very, very happy. We’ll be back!!
