Really good atmosphere relaxing and calm they don't make you feel rushed and don't hover either which is great. You can just relax enjoy your meal at your own pace and the food is incredible the portions are ample and its all so good. Definitely be returning soon

Incredible food. Massive portions which more than compensates for the price. Food was glorious, we went for an early mother's day meal and I had the teriyaki chicken, husband had chicken burger and mother in law had fish and chips. All portions were massive and we're perfectly cooked and filling. No kids menu but they can customise main menu to kids portions which is brill and my kids both thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

We stopped by a couple of weeks ago when just over Scottish Border - researching book. We had some drinks and starters - wonderful calimari amongst them. Dog friendly and lovely ambience.
When we were in Berwick a day later we couldn't find a dog friendly place for lunch - (places say dog friendly but only offer 1 table and these were taken in the places I tried!) So we returned to a warm welcome at The First and Last Inn. We had fish n chips (fresh and delish) and a madras home made curry. Great place and we will make a point of returning when next in area.

Popped in a few times for drinks when staying locally, such friendly staff. Dog friendly too. Did not try the food but it looked very good. Well worth popping in if you're passing.

Just had the wagyu burger this has to be the best burger I've had very tasty service was very good had a friendly chat but not over the top like a lot of places I've got nothing to complain about the meal or the service so it was well worth the visit highly recommended

Sunday Afternoon Tea. Lovely pub offering Afternoon Teas. Nice selection of sandwiches (crusts off) and platter full of cakes. Good value. Good Service. And added bonus - dogs are allowed in the bar.

Great little place small bar / restaurant with separate accommodation a stones throw across the car park.
I stayed in the accommodation for 2 nights in room 3 while working in the area, it was larger then I expected it to be.
My room had a comfortable double and a single, private en suite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.
Tea and coffee facilities, toaster and a microwave.

I had a evening meal on my arrival I chose the fish and chips with peas and a side salad which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately i had to leave half of my food as their was so much on the plate I couldn't manage it all I was stuffed.

The landlady Lucy was really lovely and the two lads behind the bar were brilliant made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived till I left.
Thanks again to all the team at first and last inn.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat . Order fish nd chips . The portions were phenomenal to say the least . The quality is second to none never tasted batter this good anywhere light fluffy no grease . The prices were exellent and staff exceptional. I would honestly deffy anyone to find better fish and chips . Great stuff to all staff

Food was out of this world, we got the Sunday roast as that’s all that’s is serviced on a Sunday and it was the best roast dinner I have ever had. The staff were amazing and the food was well worth the money. Even the kids meals were massive. Will 100% be back for the Thursday night steak night

First time we've eaten here since these guys took over and I have to say the food was first rate:-) I had the signature, freshly made pie, chips and peas which may sound dull but was absolutely delicious. Proper chips, proper pastry, well seasoned and delicious chunks of chicken. Lovely to see fresh local produce being made the heart of the menu and new offerings that means we are given choices you don't get in other local eateries. Please keep that focus and locals and others will beat a path to your door! Highly recommend.

Pub is very cosy with staff really friendly. Food is delicious. I had the huge Fish and chips which was gorgeous and my partner had the steak pie which was equally given the thumbs up. We stayed in the b & b accommodation number 1, and where very pleasantly surprised how big the room was and modern inside. Very clean and everything we needed.

As the pub is close by the harbour it has a lot of fishing boat memorabilia, they have some interesting items dotted around.
On the walls are a lot of old pictures of times long gone by of the harbour, old characters looking down off the walls.
Bar staff are very nice and welcoming, greeting with a smile.
I missed last orders at 9pm although I was allowed to eat my take away meal in the bar and was provided with cutlery, excellent !
Breakfast was great, typical Scottish.
Rolling hills and sea views.
Right next to the A1 although traffic wasn't a problem.
Would recommend staying here and will book another room when in the area next.

Excellent food - A party of 5 couldn't find a single fault in any plate of food. The staff were friendly and very down to earth - attended to any of our requests or questions. The only fault I could find was that some mains were put of stock, leading to a few disappointed customers, however we were not personally affected. The prices are rather high, around 10-12 pounds for a main and 6-7 for a starter. However the quality of food warrants these prices. The best pub I have tried in the Berwick/Borders area.
