This marina has excellent facilities which are maintained to a high standard. The gas is very competitively priced so make sure you check your tanks before you leave. The staff at the marina are very helpful and friendly. The local village store has a huge range of groceries and the freshest scones and breads produced locally. All in all a terrific place to stop.

Great, friendly marina & boat yard with all the skills. An excellent general store is nearby. I've kept my old yacht there for almost 10years and have always been pleased with the well stocked chandlery and excellent facilities. The marina is also a location for angling and sight seeing trips to the Correyvreckan whirlpools as well as yacht charters.

Just completed on the purchase of a yacht through Ardfern. As a buyer from the south of England with only the sales details to rely on, I had to be convinced that the flight up to Scotland to view the boat would be worthwhile. All my queries and concerns were dealt with in a extremely professional and helpful manner; nothing was too much trouble. The viewing went well and the subsequent survey and yard assistance went smoothly. I have been very happy with all my dealings with Mark Cameron and Adfern Yacht Centre and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Quite simply the best location to keep your boat on the west coast of Scotland imo. With a well stocked chandlery, excellent engineers, riggers and boat builders it has all you need. We've kept Storyline here for more than 10 years now and although it is quite a long way from where we live it is always a joy when we visit. The location is also gorgeous and you could stay on your boat there for a few days without even having to go anywhere !

We have just purchased a yacht through the Ardfern Yacht Centre brokerage. From the initial viewing of the yacht with Mark Cameron, the manager, we have had a great experience. Any queries were dealt with very promptly and in a friendly manner. When we had 2 days at the centre getting all the wee problems dealt with, the team were quick to deal with all our concerns and worked continuously on the boat to make it just right for us. All in all we cannot praise the centre and the team there enough.

Mark Cameron the General Manager acted as broker for the sale of our boat Sulasgeir. He dealt with both us, as the sellers, and potential buyers in a very helpful and professional manner. He was extremely patient with a number of potential buyers and, in the end, concluded a satisfactory result for my wife and I.

This year we have sold a boat and purchased another through the brokerage at Ardfern Yacht Centre. The broker and General Manager, Mark Cameron, handled both processes with patience, tact and efficiency. The whole business was brought to a speedy and satisfactory conclusion. We have previously enjoyed excellent service from Ardfern Yacht Centre (some years ago) and had no hesitation in deciding to contact the Centre again, having followed details of 3 vessels on the Centre's online brokerage pages. Mark Cameron, the General Manager, proved to be a careful and empathetic listener, who quickly understood our wishes (and budget!), and was helpfully-knowledgeable when we were discussing and viewing the potential purchases. This helped a lot - there's a limit to what the ordinary person can take in and professional insight is very important. When we warmed to the vessel of choice (an older sloop, with impeccable original credentials, but with many years of service and a period of only occasional use behind her), Mark guided us very carefully and openly through the purchase-bid process, which protects owner and would-be buyer. This was invaluable, as the survey we commissioned revealed a number of aspects for rectification, one of which was costly. At this stage, we stuck with our hope of purchase and Mark proved pivotal to the agreement we reached with the vendor. Thereafter, the repairs and replacements agreed were managed quietly and efficiently by Bob, who runs the yard workshop; the work took time, but a reasonable pace was maintained and we were consulted at every stage. The professional quality of the workmanship, particularly in grp repair, was outstanding and will serve this yacht for ther rest of her life. All this was conducted by the staff, including the office and chandlery personnel, with courtesy and helpfulness. Recommissioning was carried out efficiently and advice from the craftsmen which would help us in the early days of ownership and seagoing was very much appreciated. We feel confident in our new-to-us boat and we will be pleased to consult the folk at Ardfern Yacht Centre in the future.

The Ardfern Marina staff are both helpful and polite. There’s a real friendly atmosphere around the marina. I would recommend this marina as a base to anyone exploring the West Coast of Scotland.

We recently purchased a sailing yacht through Adfern brokerage having traveled from the south coast to view the boat on site. Throughout Mark and his team were a pleasure to deal with-knowledgeable, straight talking, helpful, courteous and good natured. Mark went out of his way to help us plan our trip to the area and made the whole experience a pleasure. In short everything we could ask for from a yacht centre and what we wish we could say we met at every boatyard or marina we visit. At the boatyard the staff were very helpful and the quality of stock and presentation in the chandlery said everything about the professionalism of this operation. We would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to seek this yacht centre out.

What a great marina this is - such skilled, friendly and helpful people. They have installed equipment on my boat, made repairs at short notice, and have a good selection of chandlery too.

We have moored our yacht at Arfern for the last 12 years and have always been very impressed by both the friendliness of the staff and the high quality of work carried out during that time. Recently we have just sold our Swan 371 through the Arfern Brokerage and have been extremely pleased with the handling and the work done regarding the sale by Mark.

Ardfern Marina is excellent. The staff are super friendly, the chandlery is really well stocked and the location is beautiful . Great place to overnight 👌
