Great place, delicious coffee and incredible ice creams. The salted caramel honey ice cream was one of the best I've ever tasted.
We loved sitting by the fireplace too.
A must visit if you're in Aberaeron

Absolutely charming little place with the most beautiful food I've had in a while! The Risk it for Brisket burger was one of the best I've ever had, the chips were delicious and the ice cream was exceptional. Really lovely conservatory seating with a lovely view whilst we ate. Lots of room outside on colourful picnic tables too. Highly highly recommend.

Booked for Friday night, and loved it so we returned on Sunday. Great value, delicious food and just the right level of service - friendly, but not intrusive,and efficient. Really excellent all round.

Lovely selection of ice cream available on the side of Aberaeron Harbour. Unfortunately the soft whip machine was not available but a wide variety of scooped ice cream available. We tried salted caramel, mine chox chip and mango/passion fruit and they were all very well flavoured and very creamy!

Just spent two nights in the Vulcan room as a valentines treat so can honestly say that the Hive Townhouse is indeed a real treat!

On arrival you just ring the bell and and you’re instantly greeted by a very friendly, chatty and informative member of staff who takes you to your room.
On entering, the first thing you notice is a beautiful, warm and homely room, made so by the sound of the radio softly playing in the background, such a lovely welcome!
We were given all the information needed and left to enjoy, and wow, didn’t we just!

There’s been no expense spared in the recent renovations of the hotel and they’ve thought of absolutely everything! No problem here if you forget your toothbrush!
You’re treated to complimentary treats and snacks from the mini bar, which I will add, are refilled daily and you’re also given a token that can be exchanged for one of the Hives famous ice creams during your stay!

Did I mention the copper, stand alone bath in the bedroom?! 🥰

The bed itself and the pillows are so comfy you really don’t want to get up in the morning but you must, only to enjoy the excellent breakfast that’s served just across the road in the Hive restaurant.
We also had a late lunch in the restaurant which was also delicious and the staff are just lovely!

Although the Hotel doesn’t have parking, you can easily park in a nearby car park which was absolutely fine and only costs £4.60 for 24hrs.

I’d definitely recommend the Hotel, the restaurant and Aberaeron and can’t wait for a return visit!

We have heard so much about the honey ice cream from the hive in Aberaeron so our expectations were very high! Today we finally managed a visit..

We were served from the outside servery by a friendly staff member, we were served promptly and paid an average price for a high quality ice cream.

We had the Turkish delight which was the most bizarre experience! A Turkish delight and honey flavour both very clearly defined. Lovely will definitely have again!

Amazing place! Great choice of breakfast. We had the Welsh Rarebit & Bacon and Full Breakfast. Great portions and filled our tummies. Staff is ever so friendly and helpful!

Visited today with my partner for lunch we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. We both went for the flatbreads, I chose the lamb flatbread and my partner had the halloumi flatbread. Both were full of flavour! Really hit the spot👌 friendly staff and nice views. A good menu to choose from as well! Would definitely recommend

On a really cold day we nipped in here the young girl was lovely behind the bar and I asked for a hot chocolate asking if they had cream etc she said yes andbi could put marshmallow in too I said that sounded great when it arrived it looked and tasted great,plus it was a lovely place to sit they had a roaring log burner going too all very nicex

Staff went out of their way to help me with bus and taxi information. The coffee was excellent and the place is fantastic! Going to stay on for food. I’ll let you know how that goes! 😎👍🏻

Evening Meal - A welcoming and warm atmosphere along with immaculate toilets and eating areas. I Sat in the conservatory below vines covered with fairy lights I was given food that should have been award winning. The Mackerel starter was seasoned to perfection and accompanied with just the right amount of sweet beetroot and contrasting pickle. Set on a plate of fanciful wonder. I went for a traditional main of fish and chips. Again they have taken a traditional favourite and spun intricacy and interest into this culinary delight. The batter was fresh and fish cooked light and fluffy the pea purée was sweet and had a great consistency, it could only be bettered with a little more pea coming through. The whole evening washed down with perfectly blended Martini and lemonade was an experience I will be returning to soon! Thanks Hive

A delightful meal here at The Hive. We had some lovely cocktails, started with mussels which were dressed in the most incredible sauce which me and my partner both loved. We then followed with beef stroganoff and confit duck both of which were fantastic and left us wanting another round! I truly couldn’t recommend this place more!

Visited here with family whilst on a week break. The surrounding views are lovely as is all the food and ice cream. The food was as all delicious. I had fish and chips which was beautiful. If we're ever back in the area we'll definitely be back.

Vibrant place. Quite busy and popular. Famous for ice cream. Love the ambience. Place is nice, staff is very friendly. Services are nice. Some options for vegans. View is nice from the top floor. Enjoyed the food and dessert.

We stayed in Aberaeron for a week and ate here 3 times as it was so good on our first visit. Mussels and sea bass were our favourites. Staff very good. Lovely sitting outside on a sunny day or in the airy conservatory if rain. We had our baby with us early evening and the staff were very accommodating

Called in on Sunday for a bit of lunch, sunday lunch only as you would expect on a Sunday, it did not disappoint and highly recommend. Will definitely be visiting again and have added the recommendation to our guest book at our lodge.

Anniversary dinner, and breakfast the following morning 😊

The food is good, I really love the Tartar sauce of my fish and chips. Milkshake is good, rich milky flavour with honey 🍯 taste. It is different from others.
