Latimer's of Shifnal

Visited for Pie & Pud night on a Thursday and it was all delicious, the portions are very generous and the food is so tasty! I opted for their Chicken and Mushroom Pie which was deliciously creamy, and for dessert their Homemade Apple and Raspberry Crumble with Custard which was just the right size and full of flavour! Can't reccomend enough!

The food was excellent , dave the chef is amazing, the portion where plenty and hot ! Lauren was charming and helpful, Brian was knowledgeable, enchanting and easy to have banter either, he made my birthday special ❤

First visit to Latimers this evening, we were served by Ashley, who was welcoming, pleasant and attentive.

Due to restricted time we were able to pre-order ahead to ensure our wait was as short as possible.

The food came out very quickly and it was well presented, brilliant quality, generous portions and very tasty! At a reasonable price, considering our comments.

The frontage, was very misleading and tired, assuming we had booked a table at a low key cafe, we actually found it to be a hidden gem and will definitely be returning soon!

Went as a party of 7, I had a fillet steak which was one of the best steaks I have had for ages, cooked perfectly with loads of lovely veg we all really enjoyed our food. Great service and friendly atmosphere, Becky was great and sorted out our food allergies really well. Would highly recommend

Stunning food, honestly cannot believe how good it was. Fab veg, excellent quality steak (just a tad overdone), amazing crumble. friendly service, brilliant veg. Becky, you are wonderful. We will be back.

Fantastic Sunday lunch today. Beautiful starters followed by roast beef. Thoroughly enjoyed by all 4 of us. Very attentive staff who could not do enough for us. Our first visit will definitely not be our last. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable afternoon.

Fantastic little restaurant, really great atmosphere, brilliant staff who can't do enough to make sure you have a great time! and the food is out of this world, would highly recommend a visit.

From the moment we walked in, The atmosphere and hospitality was warm and relaxing. The service was very professional, polite and unrushed. The food ( we all had a roads) was exceptional. Very Generous portions and really good quality Lamb & Turkey which was cooked to perfection. Wine was of good quality and very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Thank you to all of you for making my Mothers Birthday special for her. We will definately return. Visited again today 28/05/23 and yet again the Service, Quality of food and Portion side was nothing short of exceptional. We shall return soon from Essex.

Wow, the food here was gorgeous. Today was our 1st visit of many I imagine. Thought it lacked a little ambience at 1st, nothing a bit of background music wouldn't resolve. Service was great & we were well looked after, but the food was the star of the show. Hubby had chicken & mushroom pie followed by apple & raspberry crumble - he said both were the best he'd ever had. I had the sizzling chicken which was so tasty. The only downside was no childrens menu but our son enjoyed the scampi & chips.

Amazing roast dinner. I had the lamb which I asked for pink and it was spot on. The vegetables especially the cauliflower cheese was excellent. The roast potatoes and parsnips were cooked lovely. The atmosphere is good. All in all a great place for Sunday lunch (or other meals).

Great place, went 2 nights running, food is lovely and good portions, couldn't manage a dessert 1st night but made sure we just about had room on second night. Great owner she was very friendly we mentioned on the 1st night that we had come to Shropshire for our wedding anniversary, and she remembered us on our second night asking how we had spent our day and wishing us a safe trip home the next day, excellent service would highly recommend and if we are ever in the area again will definately be there.

Had an excellent experience at Latimer’s on Friday 10 Nov 23. We were staying in a local hotel and looked for a local eating place, called a few and we were offered a table here and are so pleased we were. The food was excellent (and large portions), prices were very reasonable being below 30 for great 2 course options. The service was exemplary, staff were friendly and the owner was very attentive. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone in the local area!

A fantastic venue. Food was absolutely delicious and hot. We had our office christmas meal there and everyone commented on how fantastic the food was. The staff made us feel relaxed and nothing was too much trouble. Service was top rate with friendly smiling staff.
Well done Latimers we will be back.

Without a doubt, it was the best Sunday lunch I've EVER had in a restaurant. If you love Sunday lunch, you can't go wrong dining here. Staff were very attentive, too.
Nice friendly atmosphere.

Food was amazing in here and the portions were really decent. I think it’s reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Customer service was great too and such a nice relaxed atmosphere. The pan seared duck was amazing and sides are decent sized as well.

I recently dined in a large group which included four good cooks.
All seven people agreed that the high quality food was cooked to perfection.
A very good experience.

First time I have been here despite living near here for a few years. Not a huge place and is only open for a limited time, Thursday to Sunday. So I recommend booking your table, especially on a Sunday, 2 weeks in advance. Food is really good and the portions are surprisingly generous. Cooked fresh all the time and to your needs where possible. Menu is ltd but in a good way, as this focuses on creating good meals in a reasonable time.

Staff are fantastic, always attentive to your needs. Shall definitely be going back to try the famous! Pies. They again looked generous.

We celebrated a family birthday at Latimer’s this past Sunday. The Sunday lunch was delicious, the service was excellent & the staff were lovely. They had a good selection of vegetarian & gluten free options. Overall it was excellent!

We booked for a Sunday Roast Dinner, we had a starter, I had Creamy Garlic and Sherry Mushrooms whilst the other person in our group of 3 had the Homemade Soup, both served with lovely warm freshly baked bread, so delicious and very moorish. Our mains were Roast Beef and Lamb, served with beautifully cooked veg in separate dishes, we all agreed that the Yorkshire Puddings literally melted in your mouth we’ve never tasted one like it ( I want that recipe plzzzzz ) 🤣😂. Gravy was rich and perfect consistency. There was so much veg left, and none of us could finish our Meat, so we asked to take it home for our Pugs, they retuned with a silver foil tray with the goodies to take home. We ordered 1 Pudding as so full up, that too was exceptional. The staff were polite and professional and Becky the Owner was really nice and made an effort to come and converse after we had finished our meal. We would highly recommend Latimer’s of Shifnal.
