The new England tearoom & shop

Very charming little shop. The lady and the gentleman were lovely and welcoming. We got carrot cake, coffe cake and two hot chocolate. All very enjoyable. Extra points for being dog friendly

What a lovely cafe. Very dog friendly and within a stones throw of a lovely stretch of the Lancaster canal. We were made to feel very welcome and the homemade Bakewell cake was the best I've ever tasted and served with a big pot of tea. Definitely worth a visit xx

I booked an afternoon tea for a small group on a hen weekend - the food was absolutely amazing! By far the best afternoon tea I've had. There were extremely good vegetarian options and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere with great customer service. Would highly recommend.

What a find. Visited here at the end of February 2024, to kill some time, whilst having some work done on our motorhome in the neighbouring business park. What a warm welcome we received; before they had even opened, we were invited to come in out of the rain. My husband commented that "the bacon butty was the best he could ever remember eating". Thanks so much.

What a lovely little place tucked away in the grounds of the new england caravan park, Capernwray. They have a lovely selection of cakes and hot food which was lovely and served quickly. The owners were so polite and accommodating to both me and the dog. I really did feel well looked after and considered.

I visited New England caravan park today to enjoy the memories I have of holidays I had as a child and I saw the tea room was open. As I was on my own, I was a little nervous about going in. As soon as I walked in, the welcome I received was lovely. I ordered a bacon butty and pot of tea. It was lovely. I felt at home. Thank you ladies. I met a chap called Mick with his little dog Philip. We had a lovely natter. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending New England Tea Rooms.

Great place to grab coffee and a slice of homemade cake. They even brought dog treats on a bone China side plate 🍽

A lovely atmosphere and delicious cake. Definitely worth a visit. We’re on the Lancaster Canal on holiday so it was very handy.

Friendly staff, very well priced and delicious food. Wide variety of cakes and drinks, along with a shelf of essential items! Can highly recommend for a great afternoon tea, or a meal.

Amazing little tea rooms. Very very friendly staff, bent over backwards to be helpful.
Amazing food and proper chip pan chips. The cakes are out of this world, fresh and made that day and so flavoursome.
Excellent value for money. I would have expected to pay a lot more for the quality of the food that we had

Went on a walk along the canal and stopped in for a refreshment break.
Adorable, quaint little cafe. Family run and lovely people to speak to.
Home baking, with my husband saying it was the best fruit scone he has had since his gran baked! Everything is served on china that the lady has collected over the years and had been given some a generation.
Great for kids, great for dogs too. The dogs get a complimentary little biscuit and a cuddle!

Food menu is great and very reasonably priced.
Staff very attentive and only too happy to help.
Definitely pop in. Has a wide range of home made cakes which are delicious.
Added bonus you can buy milk and other essentials here.
Car parking available on entering the road to New England Caravan Site on the right before the going under the bridge.
The cafe is 1 minutes walk from here.

Really lovely place with great food and a perfect decaf flat white coffee.

First time here. So busy, so popular that we had to sit outside. Didn't matter as had dogs with us. Good coffee and scones. Will revisit soon

I'd call this a hidden gem. Indoor & outdoor seating at the entrance to a private caravan park right next to the canal. Lovely food at good prices and everyone was very friendly.
The car park is just before the bridge, if you have someone that struggles walking, drive under the bridge to the café, drop them off and back to the car park.

A fantastic, cosy little tea room located on the Lancaster canal at Capernwray! The food is also delicious and fresh and there's such a friendly atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and work so hard! Definitely worth a visit, breakfast or lunch!

Over from Oz and stumbled across this little gem! The people are so nice! Had a little natter and a much needed cuppa after the beautiful walk along the canal. Definitely worth a visit. 👍 from me!! Kelly Maxted 😃
