Woodhouse Scar (Cave Buttress)

Lovely place to visit. Benches so you can sit and catch the breathtaking view. Watch the sun come up and go down. Good for walks & rock climbing.

My favourite local place from being a kid. As a kid I used to love the adventure of the woods and climbing the rocks. As an adult I love the woodland walk and the path along the promenade. Great place to take a seat to admire the view whether you're alone or with company. A terrific view of 'Happy Valley' country.

Love this place. Excellent views of the Calder Valley & the woodlands are magical. You can even get down with a wheelchair &/or a pram at the lower end of the promenade as there's a gentle slope taking you down into the woods. Great for taking the dog for a walk too!! #highlyrecommended

Really good place to relax with a really good view only issue I have ever had is you sometimes get some young kids or chavs smoking weed in the woods down below but not something that happens alot but definitely a place to visit for a good view
