We stopped on the off chance with no reservation, it was busy when we arrived as there was a coach trip there. The lady at the bar said she could seat us for food in half an hour so we returned and my partner had the haddock and chips which he enjoyed and I had the scallops and black pudding starter as my main. The scallops were beautifully cooked and the black pudding was the best I've ever had! Would definitely recommend. It's not a very big place and there seemed to be a nice mix of locals and tourists, the staff were lovely too

Outstanding food and outstanding service!
From the outside this looks just like any small Scottish country pub. I side is nice, but nothing exceptional. What is exceptional is the food! We went back 3 times in 7 days and it's definitely the best food option within 50 miles! Each time the food was there within 20 minutes of the order and each night the placewas full! The team are all super friendly and efficient!
Definitely worth a visit!

A little boring if you're by yourself, not the best "show up and meet people" kind of place, at least on an off-night. That said very friendly staff, good IPAs, and the leek soup is AMAZING

We chose Dornie because of this pub and we didn't regret any at second. Lovely pub. Joe and Steven and the lovely service ladies do a fantastic job. Highly recommended is the food - the kitchen is amazing. Everything we tried was wow. The venison sausages dish is a blast. Please guys keep doing like this, it was a pleasure to meet you and to spend some hours in our holidays at your.
Oh I almost forgot the scallops with stornoway black pudding... gosh... that was a dream.
Thank you all so much.

Had a lovely meal at The Clachan for the other half's birthday. The staff were welcoming and friendly making us feel right at home. The food was some of the best I've had in a long time. If you have the duck breast I highly recommend the tarragon and port sauce which was so good I almost asked if they had a tub of it I could take away with me. Would love to go back next time I'm in this area.

Polite staff. We didn't book a reservation. The place was busy but we got a table. Amazing food. Taste fresh and isn't greasy at all 👌 those fries were delicious!

Lovely place, friendly staff, good pub food. Scallops were great, as was Caesar salad (even though unusually garlicky), other members of our party had fish and chips and burger. They do not serve hot drinks, and won't hold your table for more than 10 Min if you are late! 😱

I recommend it, it's a cozy place to have a beer and a big meal. It's not difficult to find a free parking spot, it has a beautiful front and it wasn't busy when we arrived (on a Wednesday evening). The food was good, it has a couple of vegetarian options, I had the lasagna and it was a good portion, the salad was really good. Service was good.

Good. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Must book in advance. Langoustines were a delight, seasoning and flavours were on point, venison a tad on the lean side but to be expected. Monkfish was a pleasant dish. Would try the scallops if I return.

I always love travelling around Scotland but the best part is trying new places to eat. Myself & my Girlfriend were visiting the Isle of Skye for the weekend but were staying nearby in Glenelg so after a short look online The Clachan Bar had really good ratings and a very delicious menu. We phoned a few days prior to arrival which we were glad we did as they were fully booked for walk ins on the day.

As we arrived in Dornie, it didn't take us long to spot The Clachan in all its blue glory with its small seating area outside. As we walked in the front door it was almost like everyone stopped & stared at us like strangers but were soon made to feel welcome by the staff who were running around with meals and drinks. The Clachan Pub is a fantastic small village pub as you can imagine with only a handful of seats for the restaurant but is full of tourists and travellers trying out some local cuisine.

We were sat next to a couple who were on holiday in the area, so it was great to chat with them about where they came from and to speak about different things to do in the area. The menu is quite small but full of great options such as: burgers, fish & chips, pork loin, steak and salads which are all produced locally to the Highlands which is great!

The food came out in no time at all despite how busy they were being a Saturday evening, myself and the girlfriend both had the cheese & bacon burger which was full of flavour and fell apart in your mouth, it would be rude not to have desert being on holiday, so opted for the fudge cake and strawberry meringue which once again were delicious and all adequately priced.

I can't quite describe how homey the Clachan felt with its wood burning stove, half pub/restaurant interior, being family & dog friendly with great staff it really was a great spot for dinner. By the time we had finished speaking with everyone it was 10:30pm and time for us to head back to Glenelg. We will definitely be back to The Clachan Pub again!

We had a great evening at The Clachan. On Thursday nights the kitchen is closed, and there is a fish & chips truck outside. The fish was fresh and delicious. There was live music starting around 9. 5 guys and a number of different instruments. The atmosphere was wonderful and the beer was great

Amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff, unfortunately no food on Tuesdays, but we had cold pints following advice on local beer (Apple Cross). Would 100% recommend this place, we will definitely come back!

We loved this pub's atmosphere. The food was fantastic, including the vegetarian options. It was so good we journeyed for miles to go back again at the end of our route 500 adventure. Thoroughly recommend the Clachan.
