Fantastic food! Stopped by on Saturday afternoon for late lunch. Pies were fantastic and accompanying chips (real chips not at all oily), fresh veg (steamed to perfection) and most importantly-amazing gravy! Deserts were so good we couldn’t finish them and had to take them home! Highly recommended if you are around the area.

First time we have visited this lovely restaurant and will certainly be back. Great run out from Hereford through glorious countryside. Excellent food selection and truly lovely staff. Some extremely interesting local books on display in the comfortable dining area. Plus a great selection of ciders made on the farm. Thank you.

Only visited the restaurant, They do absolutely excellent food all with a smile and cheery disposition. We were in a group and did find that not all the food came out together but what is the difference to it sitting waiting in the kitchen for the others to be ready or waiting on our table? The quality of the food is our main concern and we all were in agreement that the food was quality.

Went for Sunday dinner today
First time I have ever been, the staff were amazing and very polite, I ordered roast beef, the beef was amazing so tender and veg was well cooked, the only negative was the roast potatoes, they were sadly like the aunt Bessie style, just change them to real potatoes and the meal would be 100% perfect!

The food was outstanding, incredible standard, as were the staff.
Thank you, we will be back.

Simple but peaceful campsite with a quality restaurant on site and a cider shop. All in all, what is there not to like? Six mile round walk to Dore Abbey was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

BEST Sunday lunch you’ll ever have. Amazing beef with loads of vegetables, crispy roast potatoes and super rich gravy followed by some great deserts all served by great staff. Fantastic value for money as well. You’ll not regret choosing this place for a family Sunday lunch.

The restaurant forms part of The Gwatkins Cider farm and is built on the side of a building. Tables are in a line and backing on to a wall with windows opposite.
The service was good and prompt. Food was superb, I had beef pie with chunky chips and Gwatkin cider, desert was sticky toffee pudding, all really good.
I very highly recommend dinning here. Just remember it is on a farm.

Had a great lunch at the Red Cow at Gwatkin this week, the burger was absolutely delicious and the Gwatkin cider of course is great too with a good selection on offer. Service was efficient and friendly. Can also recommend Red Cow as a place to pop down to for a coffee and cake! Will definitely be back more often in 2023.

We had a birthday lunch for 14 last weekend. The food was delicious (including the award winning pies and scrummy Jambo), we even sampled some of Dennis and Eric's cider and the staff were accommodating and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again! Would highly recommend

First time back today since lockdown. The shop and restaurant have been completely refurbished in a fabulous rustic style suiting the area which is situated within the heart of the picturesque Golden Valley in Herefordshire. Dave the resident Chef produced a fabulous breakfast this morning for us which we really enjoyed, great value for money. Everyone is so very friendly and efficient. We can’t wait for the new menu to be produced which will offer many new dishes for lunch and evening meals. As well as producing great meals, there is also available to buy cider and Perry etc which is produced on site. A very interesting place with a lot more on offer and well worth a visit.

Had a run out today to pick some Cider up from Gwatkin, smelt the food being cooked at the Red Cow so gave it a go. The food was superb fair play, fresh and very tasty and the bonus of a couple of pints of Yarlington and Norman to wash it down with. Lovely location and excellent staff.

We went to collect our cider, and they were able to fit us in for a meal at their new restaurant. The home made food was fantastic and the service was amazing, cosy feeling and will definitely go back.

Super Sunday lunch. Melt in mouth blade of beef, fab range of veg, Yorkshire pud and gravy that would win any competition.
Lovely setting and animals that kiddies would love to see.
