Genuinely can't say I've ever been to a café (or any form of restaurant) quite like this place, it really is something special. The owners are so friendly and chatty, love how clearly proud they are of what they have here (as they should be!).

Food is perfect, the Melting Pot I had (mushroom, butternutsquash, stilon) was so delicious; hot, gooey, and really unique. My friend and parents had the tart of the day (a courgette and pepper tart, I think it was), I didn't try it myself but they were all singing it's praises. Clean plates all around.

And Nikita, the lovely dog, is just a gem. She really ties this place together and makes it feel like you're visiting a friends house rather than a café.

Visiting this place is an absolute must.

Wow what a wonderful place. We pop in today for a little bite to eat but food service had stopped. I was with my partner and mum who is 86 and diabetic and in need of something to eat. The lady serving could see mum was not great and seen to her needs first getting mum a cup of tea. They very kindly offered to make us a sandwich even though food service had stopped. I can not thank you enough!
As for the food, we only had sandwiches but my god they were lovely the bread so fresh the fillings all locally sourced. Very nice.
Staff so friendly and went above and beyond to help my mum.
Will return to try other items on the menu.
Thank you!!!

As someone who was born and raised in Bideford and has seen plenty of cafes come and go I can’t recommend Cafe Collective enough. Their friendliness and quality has never changed and if you’re looking for somewhere to go for breakfast, lunch or just coffee it’s brilliant. There are plenty of options on the menu, everything is sourced locally and made fresh, the staff are always lovely and the prices are affordable. Please visit!

Yes I know the place is for dog lovers and that's brilliant for those who are able to continue to breath whilst in range of a dog but when you have allergic reactions to said man's best friend it is horrible. So atmosphere lost a star.
The breakfast was tasty, I want to say old fashioned tasty, like you know you have eaten a good meal. I can only imagine that this is what it must be like having a mom who would feed you up if you felt a little sad. Good value, traditional cafe and the staff are so friendly. Gave good information on charity shops in the area. A very warm welcome awaits you.

We originally popped in for a cream tea, but the specials looked really good, so went for those instead. The food was very good, and freshly cooked. The staff were very friendly and polite. But perhaps the star was Nikita. Such a lovely dog, and so well behaved. She certainly kept our grandaughter amused.

Really great little cafe, great atmosphere, friendly, chatty staff. Lovely dog eager to meet everyone. Had a great time here, felt bad upon paying as I paid by card and learning, much to my disgust that using my card to pay costs them an astronomical amount, sorry I didn't have cash, definitely recommend eating here for the tasty food and great coffee and excellent company. Also recommend taking and paying in cash if possible. Will ho there again when next in the area.

Really lovely cafe with lots of homemade delicious food and drinks. We just had coffee and tea as it was early but would definitely love to try some of the food. We had a nice chat with Andrea and it’s clear they source the best ingredients and products from the local area. Also very dog friendly, we brought our dog in and enjoyed making a fuss of their Labrador :)

Myself and my daughter had a hot chocolate with all the extras, which was the best I've tasted.

We had the hunters chicken cheese melt pot with chips which was very nice and filling.

The staff was very polite and friendly.

Deffo recommend to others.😃

The best steak burger in bideford and the friendliest front of house you will find in the area (really enjoys having their ears scratched).

If you are serious about your burgers you must try this place. Even if you require a pilgrimage to do so! There is nothing fancy about it but the ingredients and their preparation are second to none.

The café itself is welcoming and friendly. Very good prices. The size of the premises provides a snug and comforting atmosphere. However, this does mean that under the current COVID restrictions it cannot seat many at any particular time but is worth the wait.

Really warm welcome, lovely local food and drink at good prices, kids enjoyed the homemade pizza while the wife and I enjoyed meals from the specials, locally sourced scampi and the tart. Would highly recommend because we were made to feel very welcome and the food was 👌 👌 👌

Stopped here for lunch. Food was very tasty and good selection of food on the menu (pizzas, tarts, soup, sandwiches, gammon egg and chips, burger, scones etc). Good choice for vegans and vegetarians too. Most of the food seems to be locally sourced and is cooked fresh to order.

Owner was very friendly as was their resident dog! 6 or 7 tables inside but only 4 in use due to COVID as of June 21.

Coffee was the best we've had during our week in Devon. Would certainly recommend for anyone on the Tarka trail as only 5 minute walk from Bideford Station.

This was a lovely and welcoming cafe with good home cooked food and super friendly service.
Our son has a learning disability, and makes a few noises, but we were welcomed with open arms.
Nikita (the dog)was an added bonus for the kids .

I chose this cafe based on previous reviews and the fact that it is very dog friendly. The daily special was sold out but the owner recommended a pulled pork cheese melt as an alternative. It was delicious. The owner and staff were very attentive and friendly. My dog, Lola, and I hope to return soon.

A really nice coffee shop with very tasty food. We enjoyed the coffee and bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich. The coffee was beautifully presented, and the bacon on the sandwich was the nicest tasting bacon I have had in a long while.

This place is situated up the hill in Bideford town, and serves up one of the tastiest and beautifully grilled halloumi burgers I've ever eaten. If u are vegetarian n need that halloumi goodness, this places should be top of your list.
They serve all kinds of food and drinks and offer dairy alternatives on hot drinks too. Really great place that I can't wait to get my butt back for a burger. Thanks to the staff there for being ace too, such great service!!! .
