Nestled in the heart of Burntisland, this cafe is a haven for coffee aficionados and brunch enthusiasts alike. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the promise of a delightful culinary experience.
The coffee is nothing short of exceptional. I had the pleasure of trying both their ice latte and cappuccino, and each sip was a revelation of rich, robust flavors accompanied by an aromatic fragrance that tantalized the senses. Whether you prefer your coffee cold or hot, this place delivers an experience that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate.
As for the food, I indulged in their Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Mushroom Toast, both of which left a lasting impression. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich, made with Emmental and mature cheddar, served with chutney, was a delicious symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds with each bite.
However, it was the Mushroom Toast that truly stole the show. Served on toasted sourdough with spinach and creamy paprika mushrooms, this dish was a culinary masterpiece. The blend of ingredients was expertly balanced, with each component complementing the others perfectly. The fragrance of the mushrooms and the creamy texture combined to create a taste sensation that left me yearning for more long after I had finished.
Beyond the culinary delights, this place boasts an atmosphere that is perfect for a catch-up among friends. The cozy ambiance and friendly service make it the ideal setting for enjoying great food and even better company.

Really lovely place!
Unfortunately, we didn't eat, but the coffee was delicious, and the service was fantastic!
We were in for a group meet-up, and kind of took over a little as numbers grew larger than expected, but the gentleman who was looking after us, was incredibly helpful and professional.
Thank you to everyone working today.

The roasting project is a great cafe in a lovely seaside location. By roasting the coffee in house, they ensure the freshness, quality and originality of the cafe and helps give it an unique identity. The food was tasty, generous portion sizes and was fast to come out. Great range of cakes and pastries for those not wanting a meal.

Lovely coffee shop with a roastery on site. Had an iced americano and it was as smooth as any specialty coffee I’ve tried. Really friendly staff too. Food looked great but didn’t have time to try so will definitely be back again for that.
Do kinda wish there was a better place to wait for takeaway coffee. Made to sit on a bench by the door which was a shame as it’s so far away from the takeaway beans/roaster.
Cannot wait to come back though as it’s by far the best coffee I’ve had since I moved to Fife.

We visited here for lunch on Sunday 16th August 2020. Lovely clean and fresh space. The staff were amazing, super friendly and keeping the place continuously clean. All staff were wearing masks throughout and we really felt like they had everything under control considering the current pandemic. All that aside, the food was truly delicious. Myself and my husband both had the soup of the day, which was a slightly spicy vegetable soup served with bread. My husband also had the bacon roll & coffee. I had a pot of tea, which was enough for two full cups. We didn't indulge in any of their cakes, and we regret not taking any to go, as they really did look scrumptious. Once we had eaten we ordered hot chocolate with marshmallows and a latte to go. Everything we ordered was lovely and worth every penny. We can't praise the staff enough, they were so friendly and professional and the place was immaculately clean. We will definitely be back next time we're in Burnt Island. Fantastic place.

The coffee is the best in Fife! The menu is very high quality. They always have both a meat based special and a vegan special. Staff are always cheery, welcoming and helpful. Bakery items are exceptional! Highly recommend the toffee yum yum!

Excellent coffee roasters in Burntisland. Superb range of coffee with an excellent food menu too. We had a roll and sausage, with a plate of Bombay eggs (fried eggs, black pudding, sour cream and chimichurri sauce - really delicious). Two perfect flat whites completed this delicious breakfast

I recently visited the Roasting Project. It was a halfway point on my hike of part of the fife coastal path and I was wet from the rain and hungry.
What a find. The welcome from the welcoming lady was lovely. She was attentive without being pushy. I sat down happy to rest my weary legs and already salivating as the food smell was great. The menu had a good selection of items.
I treated myself to an item from the specials menu and it didn’t disappoint. The chilli dog on brioche was excellent and pipping hot. I had herbal teas and a tasty dessert too.
Toilet was clean. Food was great. I left the place rejuvenated and looked after.
Thank you guys.

I visit the Roasting Project often, it's a cracking place.
The coffee is delicious, the food is great and the staff are just lovely.
They also do events in the evenings which I keep missing out on but look brilliant.
Highly recommended.

Filter coffee was really good and I am very picky when it comes to coffee. The waiter who brought our food was amazing, very friendly and kind.
They are also very careful about hygiene and cleaning. They fully disinfect the table and the seats when you leave.

A lovely place just off the corner of the links in Burntisland. Nice and airy modern space that still feels cosy. They roast their own coffee blends, the home made food is lovely with fresh daily specials, all served by friendly staff. A great place to relax after a run along the Fife Coastal path.

Delicious poached eggs on sourdough bread with avocado. Eggs were done perfectly. Now the coffee is a 5star+. So many places have the equipment and the look but this is the real deal. Next visit I want to be seated near to the coffee grinder again as the smell is amazing

First time here and at 10:30 on a Saturday morning it’s bouncing with life. We had the same thing, cappuccino and avo & eggs. Coffee was superb and the breakfast delicious. Service fast and polite. Would certainly recommend and we will definitely be back.
