Fantastic place on the beach, plenty of space between the tables means dogs are properly separated, which is very relaxing for owners.
Staff are friendly and helpful and food was good, although somewhat more on the pricey side, but the selection and quality of the meals was great.
Be sure to check out the lovely sweet treats on offer inside!

Nlce return visit to this wonderful beachfront cafe at Aberdour. Got there just in time for a late breakfast. Even the half scottish breakfast was huge coming with toast and butter. Thete is a lovely outdoor terrace with breathtaking views across the Firth of Forth including the skyline of Edinburgh with Arthur's seat and The Castle
distantly prominent. On a good weather day like today this in indeed a fabulous spot on the fife coastal trail. Parking a plenty at the modest cost of £2 for an all day ticket.
Greedy Glasgow City Council take note😡

Brilliant cafe on the bay.
We popped in with our two grandsons who enjoyed a meal from the kids menu while I had the home made soup and sandwich combo
Fresh and delicious and keep a eye on the daily specials for a real treat.
If you are in the area don't hesitate to drop in ,you won't be disappointed.

What a view! Food was fabulous - I had the gluten free breakfast and it was fabulous. Kids enjoyed and were made to feel welcome. Lots of outdoor seating for dogs. Service was fantastic, I like that you order and pay at the counter then wait for your food to arrive. Facilities really nice. We will be back!

Excellent cafe! It was a busy spring day and ALL the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. It’s rare to find this in cafes/restaurants these days. They have a nice menu and our breakfast rolls & cakes were delicious. Will definitely be back.
( I own a cafe myself so know what the service standard should be lol)
Not sure if they are dog friendly inside but they have a nice big veranda overlooking the beach which was dog friendly.

We've been to this beach twice, and it's always so beautiful. The beach is always clean, and plenty of shells and stones to explore.
The cafe staff were so welcoming and chatty. My daughter, who's 3, got a free biscuit from Lucy because she was so polite when asking for a drink. Also, so friendly to my 2 dogs. Will definitely be back. Thank you, ladies ❤

Comfort food and great hospitality at the seaside. Lovely place to spend a few hours for lunch or a tea with delicious cake in Aberdour. The staff is super friendly and considerate as they always seat you and make small talk. The decor is simple, the food full of flavor. We were lucky our altered Five Coastal Path hike brought us past the café twice so we could enjoy lunch and another pastry on day two after having tea there on our arrival day.

Amazing views out over the beach and water. I imagine that it would be a good place to visit at any time of year for a walk and some hot food. The hot food menu looked great, we had teas, cakes and ice cream. Will definitely be back if we come here on holiday again!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sands, A Place By The Sea in Aberdour and I must say it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the most warm and welcoming service by Laura and her amazing Team. Their genuine smiles and their attention and smiles immediately made me feel valued as a visitor.
The highlight of my visit was the recommendation to try their strawberry tart with my coffee. It was absolutely spot on! Each bite was pure bliss. It was more than just a dessert; it became a catalyst for relaxation and a reminder to savour life's simple pleasures.
What sets Sands apart is not only their exceptional views and service but also their dedication. The experience helped to reduce my concerns at this time and created a perfect escape from my challenges.
Sands, A Place By The Sea, will become my go-to, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need to escape from the stresses of life. Whether you seek a peaceful stroll along the beach or just experience the hospitality and good food and coffee, you will find solace in this special place.
In conclusion, my experience at Sands, guided by Laura and her incredible Team, was nothing short of breath of fresh air. Their warm and welcoming service, great recommendations like the strawberry tart, and commitment to creating a place of relaxation make Sands a truly remarkable destination. I hope that others will discover this gem and find the same warmth, care, and tranquillity that I did during my visit. I have only one regret, that I didn't ask the names of more of the Team, but I do know I'll be back again whilst here in Aberdour.

We stopped here on a cycling trip from Edinburgh. We could sit outside the cafe along with our bikes. Lovely spot overlooking the beach. Food was excellent and large portions. Can recommend the macaroni cheese and Fish tail sandwich. The coffee was also good with a range of cakes on offer. Our visit was elevated further with the young male waiting staff member - chatty and very welcoming. Hope tot visit again soon.

Their full Scottish breakfast is great value for money and you can’t beat the great views with tables right on the beach. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly and I can see why this is such a local favourite!
