Had a wonderful evening last night. Lovely surroundings in the bar, lounge and dining area. Food was tasty and staff exceptional. Thank you.

Myself and my family had the best experience in the bear restaurant on Saturday 9th March, absolutely brilliant I had a few allergies but zara had every answer and made our experience for our early mothers day amazing thank you so much zara

Very nice hotel. Went for Sunday lunch and the food was sensational to say the least. Amazing helpful staff made the whole experience perfect. I will definitely be returning

Another real find, looks such a quaint place as indeed the front rooms are. Right on the street but goes back a long way with a car park accessible from the rear. There is a very modern pod to the rear with sliding windows for the hot days. Great venue for wedding reception it seems.
Didn't try the food, but it looked OK.
We were in one of the old rooms - large with comfortable beds a bath and shower. Nice welcome tray with Welsh cakes, tea, coffee, water etc.
Excellent breakfast was across the road in a coffee bar.

Beautiful Sunday lunch. Our party sampled the beef, pork and lamb and everyone enjoyed. Plenty of vegetables accompanied the mains and would highly recommend the cauliflower cheese 👌. The desserts were deeeelish too. Service was swift and it was lovely to sit out in 'the cube'. Thank you The Bear 👏👏👏.

All of the staff especially Gemma and Amy were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble

Enjoyed the prawn and crab cocktail sandwich for lunch, which came with a beautifully dressed salad. Cant fault the staff, their service was impeccable! The restaurant was fairly busy - clearly well loved within the community. Definitely will be going again!

Stayed here for my 50th birthday, absolutely lovely place, food in main restaurant was outstanding and the staff were excellent, highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Stayed over with their Sunday offer of room, dinner & breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed!
The courtyard room was very clean and welcoming, especially for your dog with bowls & bedding provided - massive help.
The food was delicious and good quality both breakfast & dinner.
Great atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, visited in Autumn so the fires were on and very cosy.
Ate breakfast in the old part of the pub in the window booth - such fun watching the world go by. ☺
Went with a group of friends, six of us in total and we were very well looked after, nothing too much trouble.
Looking forward to visiting again with my husband.

Absolutely beautiful quirky hotel would defo visit again . Only one downside was the squeaky floorboards coming from upstairs. The breakfast in the opposite pub was amazing so friendly and welcoming.

Fabulous room, very efficient and helpful receptionist, Flora, who checked in and helped with bags. Delicious meal in The Stables, and Pimms beforehand in the pretty courtyard.

Nice food and good beer very friendly staff. Also I had my wedding there highly recommend to have your wedding there plenty of room to hold your guests and also they have out door glass area to sit if the good old Welsh weather turns to rain. Fantastic place.

Perfect place for our occasion. St Quentins suite more than we expected. Sandwiches, cakes & scones very nice. Service was excellent.
