Casa Romana

Been here few times now. This is one of the finest Italian restaurants I have been to in England. I mainly come here for the seafood. They always buy their fish fresh and you can tell from the quality. The service is exceptional and the food just sends you in heaven. I will keep coming back here!!!!! 😇😇

Excellent small Italian restaurant in Leicester. Exterior looks are misleading! Cosy inside. Good atmosphere and menu choices. Wine well priced. Service fast and efficient. Very welcoming. Will come again

Hidden away down the backstreets in the city centre, we stumbled across this place by chance when googling an Italian restaurant for dinner.

Was fairly busy but only had to wait for 15 minutes or so. Good selection of starters and mains including fish, chicken, veal, steak and pasta. Also had some specials with mussels, scallops, swordfish or monkfish as options. I had the duck ragout whilst my partner had steak with truffle, sun dried tomatoes and cream sauce which was absolutely divine!

More upmarket compared to other places in the city centre but we’ll worth the price. Food was absolutely delicious and we’re looking forward to coming back soon!

The food was absolutely delicious, flavoursome, and filling. The service was attentive with that "family restaurant" vibe; so was lovely and personal.
Would certainly come back here as a treat for a special occasion and a change from the regular "chain" restaurants.

Delicious food, homely atmosphere and possible the best calamari I've ever had. Highly recommend all the dishes we tried, food was all bursting with flavour, the highlight for me being the calamari. The service was good but was more relaxed then some people might expect but for me it kept with the atmosphere of the place.

This is a treasure in leicester! The food is amazing, the service incredible. THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN LEICESTER.

We had an outstanding and delicious meal at Casa Romana. Excellent service and good quality good. The red wine was beautifully balanced and the meal was really good value.
Will be revisiting in the near future.

There were five of us. We were all looked after by staff members. Meals were amazing. Good portions and very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed our time.

I loved everything about this place. It's cosy, staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional. The food was amazing! We got Scallops, Lobster ravioli and Spaghetti Gambri. The scallops were fresh and the sauce was fabulous. I would definitely come again!

For a Thursday evening it was fairly busy with a nice atmosphere. Wine was fantastic. Prawns plump and in a delicious, perfected tomato and garlic sauce. I had Penne All’ Arrabbiata with Chicken, arrabbiata being a simple tomato dish but therefore very difficult to make it taste so complex - which they easily managed. Partner had veal. Not for me or him personally but glad we tried it. Had sautéed potatoes with it which were sadly undercooked. Coffee smelt wonderful although unfortunately not something to have in the evening for us :) Overall it was lovely and will be back for more!

First of all the atmosphere was very calm and suitable for a nice and chilled out night out. The staff were super friendly, caring, made sure everything was top notch while being super busy running around making sure every customer is happy.

The food was beautiful in taste and appearance. Me and my partner had scallops and bruschetta and it was the perfect choice for starters.

For mains steak and chicken pasta Wer incredible. Fresh sauces and perfectly cooked fillet steak, just the way I asked and also it was served in a way I would have never guessed. The only little thing I could complain about was the side salad for the steak, as it was served in a small bowl but the lettuce and tomatoes were sliced a bit large and it was a bit difficult eating it. It doesn't change the fact that everything from welcoming us, service, professionalism and great food deserves a 5 star rating. We will definitely come back, not sure how soon, but we will come back!!

Spent a really pleasant evening here. The food was fabulous...we had the fish lasagna and lobster ravioli for starters followed by the duck penne and lamb tagliatelle. The hubby also tried the Tiramisù, which he said was delicious. The host was really friendly and very accommodating. Would highly recommend the restaurant!

Lovely food with excellent special boards for fresh fish .Had a first ever fish lasagne which was amazing.Superb service with a very knowledgeable and attentive host

The food was nice fresh and tasty. The lobster ravioli was good, but others had the monkfish which was amazing. The panna cotta to top it off was delish! Will defo go back

A wonderful dining experience. My starter of pasta Gorgonzola had a proper Gorgonzola kick (too often it’s just creamy). We both had the grilled sea bass which was simple perfection. A place to treasure.

This food was phenomenal and authentic. The atmosphere was lovely and they were so accommodating, it was my sister’s birthday and they helped make it so special. Thank you so much would reccomend!!
