Medivet Mountain Ash - Ash Veterinary Surgery

Lovely caring staff, affordable treatment and fast action. My dog was attacked and in emergency treatment, the staff came through!

I was extremely nervous bringing my two kittens to the vets for the first time and have never been to this particular practice before. I cannot thank the staff enough for immediately calming my nerves! The receptionist is incredibly down to earth, friendly and a fab sense of humour. She also very patiently broke down the pricing systems for me and allowed me to choose options more suited for me which I really appreciated.

The vet was absolutely incredible. She is so kind and compassionate and her passion for her role is very evident in the way she gently and lovingly treated my girls. My kittens showed pretty much no nervousness during their check up and that's all down to the talent and kindness of the vet (I do apologise for misplacing her name as I wish I could credit her directly!)

She took her time giving me tons of fab information and advice, and was just an overall pleasure.

Very happy with the service and the care provided to my cat

My beautiful cat, Jill, over 20 years old. Had problems finding a vet as she was quite ill. Ash surgery came up trumps. On phoning, the receptionist was very professional and caring. Arranged an appointment, knowing that my Jill was near her end. The vetinary surgeon was marvellous, so caring and thoughtful not rushing me through any decision. Unfortunately Jill needed to be put to sleep. Everything was done to make this as easy as possible and the receptionist on paying our bill was so considerate and caring. Thank you Ash, has certainly helped to make my loss a bit easier. Would recommend your practice without hesitation. Thank you so much.

My dog is very nervous and shy of people she dont know .The vet who saw her helped her settle down to give her booster and kennel cough ,and good examination even managed to check her teeth really happy with service Lizzy came from the vets with a waggy tail .

We appreciate the staff at Ash Vets so much. They are always kind, helpful, informative, responsive. They have been there for us through some of our pets awful illness, they have helped us care for our pets over time. They are fabulous, compassionate, they always go the extra mile. They know us. They know our pets, by name & history. We feel safe with our animals in their care. We appreciate the fact that we feel we can trust the advice they give on care of our pets. We cannot recommend this vet practice highly enough.

We first switched to Ash Vets in 2015 after an awful experience at another vet in our area who made us feel presurred to pay for care/tests that we could not understand why we were being told were needed. The pet had an abscess on it's paw, and they wanted to run blood tests for checking if he had been poisoned - and said the paw was fine. We didn't know at the time what was wrong with his paw, he just wasn't using it right and it looked a bit sore. We left the vet feeling scared for our pets life because we could not afford the "thousands" for poisoning care and they were telling us we needed but they never clearly explained why his paw being sore led them to the conclusion of potential poisoning.

We immediately began searching for another vet, just to get a second opinion. As we tried to leave, the vets at this other practice were telling us that we did not have time for a second opinion, that if we left our cat would be dead within hours - despite the paw issue being something we had noticed and been keeping an eye on over the course of a couple days.

We looked up other vets in our area and the reviews for ash vets made us decide to phone them for an appointment. We went there and found out from them that our cat had an abscess - and the veterinarian at Ash vets could not understand why the other vet had been so overly concerned about poisoning. The abscess was treated by Ash vets and healed nicely and normally. Since that day our relationship with all the staff at Ash vets has developed and I can saw we would be heart broken if we ever had to find another practice.

We appreciate the level of knowledge stafff have, their ability to communicate with us about our pets health, and knowing we can trust them is something could not possibly value more than we do. We are so incredibly thankful for everything they have done for us and our pets over the 5 or so years we have been with them.

The young vet was careful and kind with Gwladys my dog. Very patient and took her time to make sure she was OK with every procedure.

Medivet practice, Mountain Ash well placed, easy access with the staff being polite and friendly would recommend.

The staff made Bailey feel relaxed by fussing her and looked after her before and after her operation until I came to collect her, even tho she had just had an op she was still content and not stressed at all and I thank every member of staff for that, also the receptionist at mountain ash surgery is lovely, Bailey actually looks for her as we come into the surgery, and she looks forward to seeing the vet, who is very helpful and answers any questions or worries I have.. 10 out of 10 from me :)

We needed to collect worming tablets. And although we werent allowed in due to the Covid regulations, within a minute we were seen and had tablets in hand. In and out like an undercooked pork chop! Fantastic!
